Before the Dawn was Tuomas' band before he started Wolfheart. Very similar, worth checking out their back catalogue for sure.

I listened to maybe 3 Agalloch songs, friend played me Enslaved and Bathory and they're cool, but still the songs mood and melody is what gets me. (see below)
Another add: I can listen to all sorts of growls and screams, but I mainly focus on the song's melody and the mood it sets, so those three genres just (mainly) spit out aggression for me. I don't know, I think I'd explain this better in person

One of the benefits of a 4 car garage is I can finally get my home gym set up. Got a new treadmill there too on the other side, awesome thing but damn so big.

Sojourner - Empires of Ash
I tried this album earlier this year, but it couldn't grab my attention at all back then. However, now I am relistening to Empires of Ash, it is much better then I remembered. Nice mix between Saor and Agalloch, with some Summoning influences as well. I should give it some more spins in the near feature to fully decide if I like it or not.
