I have recently been faced with a lot of loss in my social circles. Two friends killed in a car accident, and one just didn't wake up one morning. I am over on their facebook pages reading people's comments and there is always a similar thing being said. My one buddy was a giant hulking guy, but the sweetest person you've ever met. The other could drink a water buffalo under the table. The last one was a chess master (We can't all have the cool hobbies ) It got me thinking, though. What do you hope friends and family say about you when your time comes? What would your obit say? I hope people say that I was a great mom (but mean it. everyone says the deceased were good parents), strong, and could belt it out at karaoke like no other. I want them to talk about my love for bacon and tacos and how I have affected their lives. What about you guys?

This is quite a loaded question/topic I guess my biggest thing is my two kids, Alice and Jane. I was young when I had them and foolishly married their dad (lesson learned) I have accomplished so much in my 26 years. I was the first of my family to complete high school (dropped out to have baby number one). I was also the first one to get a full scholarship to college. When I was in my teens, I was the lead vocalist in a Christian rock band - we got to tour Canada and it was pretty amazing. Something I will always remember. Until I got kicked out for being knocked up with said firstborn... I've also accomplished something pretty cool that I never thought I would. I bought my first house this past July. That is a goal I have always wanted to reach. This past year I also gained the strength to leave a very emotionally and financially abusive relationship. I started it shortly after my marriage ended and it took two years for me to find a job in a business that wasn't owned by the man I was dating. I was so happy when I finally told him I was done and that I deserved so much better than to be treated like dirt. Thanks to leaving that relationship I learned how to say yes to things I wanted. That is a giant accomplishment for me. I have always done what everyone else wanted and never went after what I did. Totally done with that crap. I finally got my sleeve started. I stopped caring what people thought about me and stopped worrying about disappointing people and just went and got it done. My tattoos are for me, no one else. I have several goals I want to achieve. I want to go back to college for Journalism. I have applied but I missed the cut off date, so I will be offered a place if there is room. I want to travel. I want to leave Canada and visit Las Vegas so I can hang out with Vinnie Paul (close friend of one of the Loaded Radio owners) and play KISS mini-putt...and walk around with booze in the street (Unheard of here in the hammer - unless you are homeless. They do it all the time) I want to go to more shows. Hopefully going to Black Sabbath this April, but I want to go to the BIG festivals. I want to wait until my kids are a bit older, though, so I can bring them haha Lastly, I want to be happy. I want to learn how to enjoy life. I want to look back at my life on my death bed and say that I was honestly happy. Fingers crossed it happens.

How long did that one take you? That`s a rad tat. Love it! I'm still trying to find someone to get a good pic of my sleeve...haven't had a chance to shade it in yet. Been out of work for over a month now.

Sorry about pic quality. The leaves are pretty well detailed, as is the Alice in Wonderland tat - that one is a coverup. I also have one on my back shoulder blade but no way I can show that one off here on my own. I will get some better quality pics when I don't have to take the pics myself. My sleeve is going to be ridiculously detailed/realistic. It is a music sleeve - artist paid so much attention to detail that she even filled out the numbers on the radio dial during the outline. It is going to be sick. I thought the inner arm (inside just under armpit is where part of my sleeve is) was going to hurt more than it did - the one on my hip hurt worse than the ones on my ribs.

I recently quit smoking (surprisingly not because of a new years resolution) but ever since I reached the three week mark, my brain has been giving me the most f*cked up dreams. I'll go to Tim Hortons and in order to get a roll up the rim, they want me to have a smoke. If I wanna buy anything at the LCBO (liquor store) I have to have a smoke before I can go in...everyone in my dream is trying to force me to smoke again. ...and sometimes I dream that I am a helicopter pilot and I can never see where I am flying. That one is oddly more unsettling than the smoking one

This is my 'collection' this past monday I sat for 3 1/2 hours getting the outline done for my sleeve. will share pic of it once I find someone I trust enough not to go through my photos after taking one to get a decent shot of the sleeve as it stands

I actually listen to music pretty much constantly no matter what I am doing. I'm always tuned into either Loaded Radio's stream when I am at home or have wifi somehwere...otherwise it is just the music I put on my phone. I do it while cleaning, cooking, walking, taking the bus, warm ups for ballet, laundry, reading, walking the kids to and from school, while I fall asleep at night, visiting my grandma (i kid, I kid. I don't visit my grandma)
