    Carcass!

Fills my head with gore! \m/
  2. Look forward to hearing the full demo \m/
  3. It has to be done.... saying that, I'm gutted I missed one in Florida! Was over there for the first time on holiday and by a week missed Halloweenie Roast! Round up sounded awesome on the radio.
  4. Winterfellyth - The Threnody Of Triumph is the last new release I have purchased.
  5. Rate: Game Of Thrones Season II Slate: the fact that Justine Bieber being 2 hours late for her London show is deemed worthy of so much news coverage..... Get over it! You want late? 2 words: AXEL ROSE!
  6. So who's going and what bands are you most looking forward to? Im looking forward to Winterfellyth, OAF, Candlemass, Destruction, Enslaved, Evil Scarecrow, Napalm Death, Angel Witch and Sodom. \m/
  7. I have been to WACKEN 6 times and Bloodstock once. I prefer WACKEN as there is just so much to do if there isnt a band playing you want to see..... especially the Viking Village! Bloodstock I found a little unprepared, the toilets always overflowing etc and 2 rides to bide your time over whe the band you want to see suffer from unforgivable sound problems (Akercocke 2008). I felt let down by it as I have only ever heard amazing reviews, and it has put me off going again. But that was 5 years ago, and I must admit...... I am tempted this year.
  8. My Hel-Hound ..... Quozimodo \m/
  9. Favorite song for me has to be The Last With Pagan Blood off the Avenger album.... sends chills down my spine! About 3 years ago, my fiancee tracked down an original copy of their first mini album Sorrow Throughout The Nine Worlds..... even more awesome of her, she got me backstage to meet them on my birthday when they played Cardiff last year. Got it signed and drank mead. Have to say, of all the bands I've met, they were the most down to earth. \m/
  10. SOLD!!!!.... I know what albums I'm buying next!!! \m/
  11. I'm looking forward to seeing Ghost for the first time with Gojira in a few weeks. I can see RelentlessOblivion's point of view, but even though it may have been done better before, they do bring a sense of nostalgia, a hint of 60-70's psychedelia that influenced every groove laden band since. Original? No. Fun? Most definatley! As for Carcass, the first album I heard was Necroticism, mainly due to The Berzerkers cover of Corporal Jigsaw Quandary. Although I own Swansong, the only track I use to listen to was Keep On Rotting In The Free World, however, since their sets at Wacken and Damnation Fest..... its had many more spins! Anyway..... back to your point, a new Carcass album would be much appreciated, I'm just gutted I can't get down to London for their 3 nights at the Underworld \m/
  12. What bands are you guys most looking forward hearing from this year, be it albums, live shows or new blood, share all here! Personally I'm looking forward to Achrens new material as well as Amon Amarths and as a guilty pleasure, a new Steel Panther record \\n/
  13. I love Dimmu, I love for all tid for it rawness, the addition of Vortex and his clean vocals on spiritual black dimensions onwards, and I thought that stormblast mmv was true to both the original and to them as a band today. However, as much as Dimmu keep stating that Vortex added little to no input into the mix...... I feel on Abrahadabra, he's missing. I don't think anyone can deny his vocals would only add to the grandiouse of Gateways or Dimmu Borgir?? Also, I'm not into conspiracies, but if you slow down the last section of the female vocals on Gateways, it sounds awfully like Mr V! Check it out! Not that I want to remove anything from Dimmu and what they have achieved, nor take away from how much I enjoyed Abrahadabra, but I was expecting more from it. That said, with or without some members, or what they produce in the future, they still remain one of my favorite bands on record and live. \m/
  14. I first became aware of Chthonic during their Seediq Bale album at the first Hard Rock Hell festival. After their set I was hooked and bought the 2 albums I could find at the stalls and the during Cradle of Filths set look over and see the band sitting next to us, no one recognized them out of their stage clothes. All I can say they are such awesome people (Doris is also very easy on the eyes) and each album since Seediq Bale has got better and better. They are also endorsed by Randy Blythe...... nuff said \m/
  15. I have to say as much as I enjoyed The Blackening, as a personal preference I enjoy Unto The Locust more. Maybe because with ..Locust, you can just stick it on the stereo and just enjoy it whilst driving or chatting with your mates (enroute to a gig, maybe Machine Head who are spectacular live regardless what they play) where as I found with The Blackening, it was best listened to without distraction due to its intricacy. Also as much as I love Judas Priest, I really can't fault the Sentinel cover.
  16. Welcome! As far as bands with grooves and rhythms, you've got the well knowns such as Mastodon, Amon Amarth, Devildriver, Gojira, Lamb of God etc not forgetting the mighty Sabbath, but if you want heavier stuff try Decapitated, Achren, Akercocke, Hate Eternal, The Haunted..... all well worth a listen \m/
  17. As much as you like Princess Di and the Queen ;-p Nice to meet you \m/
  18. Dude get your ass over to WACKEN, this year will be my 6th time in 7 years. If there isnt a band you want to see there is shit loads of stuff to do and you will always have someone new and interesting to talk too. The Viking Village is great with a longboat bar and reenactments of old games and battles. The Germans can organize an awesome festival. Can't complain about the bier either! Theres a reason they call it "The Holy Wacken Land!"
  19. Hi all, my name is Gary and I'm from sunny Swansea, South Wales. Into almost every genre from hard rock to death metal. Very much into Norse Mythology and the music that it inspires eg Bathory, Amon Amarth etc and the classics like Priest, Rainbow, Dio don't go amiss. I try to get to as many gigs and festivals as possible (if you only go to 1 in your lifetime go to WACKEN....it's the bollocks!!), you'll probably find me propping up the bar! So if you see me, come and say "HI!" Catch you at a gig! Hammerfest V is next on the agenda!
