  1. Both Sólstafir and Nokturnal Mortum will come with a new one. In the case of Nokturnal Mortum it has been fucking 7 years since Voice of Steel has been released. If it will any close to Voice of Steel, I already know my favorite record of 2017.
  2. That's a cruel stereotype spread by the Germans. Blame them for it! Our current weather can hardly be called winter.
  3. Meanwhile, I'll fall back into winter sleep. I hope you all have a great holiday!
  4. Did she call back? Is everything OK now? Hungarians are weird... [emoji3] Everything happy here, thanks! Yes, that's what I always tell her haha Verstuurd vanaf mijn HTC One M8s met Tapatalk
  5. Alcest - Delivrance Verstuurd vanaf mijn HTC One M8s met Tapatalk
  6. EDIT: deleted it because of reasons.
  7. Klimt 1918 - Comandante Stumbled across this last night. Great shoegaze with a nice melancholic vibe. Too bad I can't find the rest of the album online, so I can decide if it's really worth purchasing.
  8. Yes, Kodama is such awesome, but there is something missing for me and I can't tell what exactly. But then again, it has Eclosion and Oiseauz de Proie on it. Also, Shelter wasn't bad either in my opinion, but it had to grow on me. Delivrance is just a masterpiece (and I am happy they still play this one live) plus the titeltrack and Away are amazing tracks as well. Np: Ulcerate - Shrines of Paralysis
  9. I really enjoyed the previous releases of both Ulcerate and Gorguts, so those are still on my list as well. Hopefully I get to them soon, as I heard indeed a lot of good things about the new Ulcerate album. And regarding Setentia I agree a bit with both sides haha. I understand why he sees it as too derivative, because I have the same feelings at some parts as well. However, in my opinion, that wouldn't be fair, as there are clearly some interesting aspects indeed.
  10. I've heard Wormed, Mortichnia and Setentia as well. Those are great albums for sure as well, but they snowed a bit under all the other releases. (Did that make sense? Or am I Dutchifying things here? ) Same goes for DsO and Dead Congregation, I haven't even had the time to check them out properly as well. But from what I heard so far of the DsO album, I am not sure what to make of it. Time will tell, if I ever get to it.
  11. Personally, this might be one of the most difficult years to put a end of year list together. Not because there are have been only a very few amount of good albums released, but because of the opposite. There are too many good albums, from which there aren't any particulair albums outstanding. Some candidates to make it to the list: Urfaust - Empty Space Meditation Alcest - Kodama Oranssi Pazuzu - Värähtelija A.M.S.G. - Hostis Universi Generis Thrawsunblat - III: Metachtonia Hexvessel - When We Are Dead Nadra - Allir vegir til glötunar Eneferens - The Inward Cold Behexen - The Poisonous Path Sojourner - Empires of Ash Arkona - Lunaris Fyrnask - Fórn Throane - Derrière Nous, La Lumiere Sylvaine - Wistful Spire - Entropy Esben and the Witch - Older Terrors Insomnium - Winter's Gate Skuggsja - Skuggsja Départe - Failure, Subside Lascar - Absence Zhrine - Unortheta Schammasch - Triangle Mono - Requiem for Hell Death Fortress - Deathless March Of The Unyielding
  12. I remember that it received quite some praise among some Dutch forums at least, earlier this year. And a couple of other friends from Europe came up with it as well. Further, I agree with you. It's a very good release for when you love that kind of style, but otherwise it's just a decent album and nothing more than that. And it's true that a lot of bands are a bit of copycats. It would be nice for sure if they did something interesting with it. Np: Mono - Recoil, Ignite
  13. I don't really get the hype around this one. For sure, it's a good album, but not very groundbreaking either. Just quite solid. Np: Mono - Requiem for Hell
  14. Live report with camera's and such I guess? Not sure if I will go though. I mean, the line-up is insane good, but it depends a bit on my study as well. Also, I saw Alcest and Mono yesterday. Where Alcest was a bit disappointing due the terrible sound (especially at the beginning), blew Mono me completely away. Literally flawless and yet so emotional with as highlights Pure As Snow and Requiem for Hell. Damn, I wish I could go back.
  15. On vinyl: Urfaust - Empty Space Meditation Kroda - GinnungaGap GinnungaGaldr GinnungaKaos On cd: Acherontas/Slidr - Death of the Ego/Chains of the Fallen Schammasch - Triangle
