Re: DragonForce i think the main reason people don't like them is because for a long time they had what people called "the hardest song to play on guitar". and because of this they gained a huge reputation as being amazing BUT when it came to them playing their songs live they just couldn't do it, the performances were sloppy . . . at best, they have gotten better recently but i still wouldn't say they were the most professional band in the world

for those who don't know, he is the founding member of progressive metal band MESHUGGAH, he reinvented the genre and brought things to the table that nobody had ever seen before, a combination of death metal and progressive metal . . . MATH METAL. long live Meshuggah.

Re: Battle Metal, just another ridiculous "genre"? i suppose, it is a good way of linking bands that have the same lyrical themes and same sort of guitar tones etc, they are necessary just . . . not to the extreme extent of combining like 7 other genres into one word like has already been said
