Re: Europe sometimes they get a popular band from a while ago to play these festivals to bring people in, people who like europe may go hating metal and leave loving the genre, i think that's why they do it anyway :S

Re: Battle Metal, just another ridiculous "genre"? if i were to have my say, all subgenres would be out the window and i would just called everything either "metal" or "heavy metal" i'm sick of people arguing over subgenres :L

Re: Live Albums i like live albums but only if they are done really well, i really like the likes of between the buried and me's live albums, they are amazing, the energy that is to be had at one of their gigs comes through nicely in the recording of the album, but sometime live albums can be a little bit disappointing . . . dream theatres live albums for instance . . . the instrumental sections are AMAZING but james labrie's vocals are left to be desired :/

this years hellfest was FUCKING ACE. the lineup was in my opinion the best metal festival line up in a a few years at least

the sword, i would probably categorize them as stoner metal :L they're riffs are like overused washed up iron maiden and black sabbath riffs but for some reason that's what makes them awesome :L
