  • Biography
Was into the scene since the beginning of the metal movement, seen a lot of the icons when they were still playing small bars. Been playing guitar for half a century, yeah I'm nearly old enough to fart dust. Mostly play doom and stoner metal these days. I use Jackson and Schecter guitars, Krank and Orange Amplification, Earthquaker Devices & EHX effects.

  1. Been waiting for them to release something new
  2. Pretty much covered any I can think of other than Sepultura. You can check out Alien Weaponry, Overkill, Crowbar maybe Corrosion of Conformity, Grip Inc. 🤘
  3. I remember that guy, used to blow up hot water bottles. Played The Gasworks and Rock n Roll Heaven a few times, met the pyro guy outside RRH after his show and he had a box with some wooden tiles in it, said it was keepsakes, used too much in the pyro and damaged the stage That was back when Lee Aaron, Coney Hatch and Anvil were playing in regular rotation in the bar 80' bar scenes.

  6. Having problems with my computer lately it is a 20 year old IMAC, that is my excuse and I am sticking with it Weihenstephan is without a doubt one of the best beers I have ever tasted about $6 a bottle here but worth it. That being said I try to avoid beer as much as possible and stick to clear alcohol when I drink, I lift weights and don't need those estrogen bombs in my system moobs and dickey do's are the last thing I want to be rockin. Vodka straight up with lime and soda water or Single Malt Scotch neat, vodka martini's and Black Russians are tasty too 🤘
  7. Never been able to find VB here in Canada, always wanted to try it. Bitter are my go to beers, my favourite used to be Tartan from Scotland, these days it is usually Abbott, Trooper, Lancaster Bomber or Spitfire. I tried one from a New York brewery War of 1812 bitter ale it was mighty tasty.
  8. I used to get decent merch from Amazon but lately the selection is shite, we have quite a few places in Canada that stock decent merch but nothing obscure unfortunately. My son got some cool tees from Futhark Records in Toronto, they have a ton of rare black metal releases in all formats, he got a CD of some obscure BM band from Costa Rica last time and the owner Klaus had some BM shirts he designed he grabbed too. House of Wo Fat has tees for $20, even a few in the discount section for $7, probably going to grab a few. Used that angle for a long time too, works like a charm until another Mick arrives which was not that often. 9. Saw Nugent in the 70's live a few times, awesome show, Derek St.Holmes is a beast on rhythm. My issue with Hendrix is similar to Page, really sloppy live and another thing with Hendrix live was tune for fucking guitar man seriously. Could be the drugs but that is even worse, IMHO when I pay good money to see a show you are on my dime, be professional or get the fuck off the stage, it is not much to ask. As for Hendrix roadies one of them was Meatloaf I hope he wasn't the guitar tech shite. Meatloaf also did vocals on some early Nugent material.
  10. Missed Dimeola when he did the Elegant Gypsy tour, was really pissed
