  1. Well. What do you think about it?
  2. I don't know what to call it but I do like it. I had to check my post to see whether it was a typo or you being a dick. You're a dick. To me it conveys immobility more than heaviness. No. But I guess they are entitled.
  3. SEDIMENTUM - Suppuration Morphogénésiaque. Crap band name and crapper album name, but pretty good DM. CASTAVET - Mounds of Ash. Unfuckwithable.
  4. I agree, but you are an old bastard and I'm an older bastard so what would we know.
  5. I kept being told I should like them - way back - but I tried and came to the same conclusion. I do agree with this, even though John Lydon has jumped the shark from witty provocateur to common-or-garden prick.
  6. Gosh, what naughty rebellious boys. It's a bit sad that shit was still popular in 1992.
  7. Just can't get enough of ASUNOJOKEI still. It's a dude shrieking actually, but the GG still wouldn't like it. Some of you others would though... And WAKE - Thought Form descent. Still a cracker.
  8. Is it because you are getting mellow in your old age? 😉
  9. LOCRIAN & CHRISTOPH HEEMANN - Locrian & Christoph Heemann. Oblique and suggestive music. You won't like it MANNVEIRA - Vitahríngur. Nothing hidden here. Quite good.
  10. This is good choice. I really enjoy this album. Favorite track - 'Transcendence'.
  11. Both statements are true, but you've got to be stupid when you're a kid - it's your job to push against the old folks and dismay your parents. I wore the uniform at school, but they couldn't stop me having long hair and truly disgusting side-levers.
  12. And kind of back on topic. I ask - in all sincerity as an old bloke who listens to a bit of radio for the news and the ABC Jazz channel in the car when the wife is with me and that's it - 'Who Listens To The Radio?' (The Sports, if ya didn't get it). Do 'young people' learn about music from the radio? Aren't they getting music on-line - from TickTock - from streaming TV (eg the Kate Bush revival) etc etc. Isn't the 'orrible radio that plays only classic rock for old folks?
  13. Off topic, but I guess you have all heard/seen the metal version of Africa by Leo Moracchioli? Fun (my word of the week - makes a change from doomy).
  14. It probably only appeals to you and me, so not too commercial yet! I'm listening to it now. The vocalist reminds me of Grace Slick. Nice, but not shrieking. Excellent playing. Still on first track. This is well worth listening to all the way through.
  15. It was specifically you I was thinking of when I wrote that not everyone would care for it. Not bad, but it won't hold my interest for the full album. This ain't shrieking though. It's punky aggressive singing. I wanted shrieking.
  16. No, no , no. I fucking hate the Strokes and it seems incongruous that The Chats - who are a good band - would be supporting them. My son specifically said that I would not like the band on with them before he told me who they were. I think his wife likes them. I hope that it's not him.
  17. That's not Thatguy's thing, so - HISSING - Hypervirulence Architecture. I went back to this and I still can't remember why I rejected it first time round. It's good. ASUNOJOKEI - Island. I know this band won't be everybody's cup of tea/pint of lager/very small expresso, but I really like this black gazey music with female shrieking. It has a certain knowing irony to it. ALTARS - Ascetic Reflection. Still good
  18. They are indeed a punk band from Queensland. Good fun.
  19. How about this for contemporary guitar based music - THE CHATS. My son messaged me tonight . He saw them live and he said they were as loud fast and aggressive as a good metal band...OK. If he says so. They were support for The Strokes though for fucks sake.
  20. I wasted - pleasantly enough - some minutes working out how to type Ukrainian (I knew it was Ukrainian) on my keyboard, but didn't bother with the next step of translation, so thanks for that. Like Our Father, I kind of like the foreign scripts. Since I can't understand 90% of the English language singing I listen to, it's all the same to me if people sing in their native language. Beyond that, I like that metal is now indigenised to many cultures.
  21. svrm - розпад . svrm are reliably good. CRIMSON THRONE - Of Void & Solitude. Also good.
  22. Yep. One of life's real pleasures. Glad you liked it. Now the rest of you savages should try this.
  23. DINBETHES - Balans. Good. Thanks Hungarino!
