  1. The God Seed Wakken show?!?! That is my fave live show of all time! It looks like Armageddon at the end of prosperity and beauty, with the lights and fire!!! Actually brought a tear to the eye! I actually really like Twilight of the idols, Forces of Satan storms is an absolute banger! Ad Majorum has "Wound Upon Wound" and the dark carnivalesque "Carving a Giant", both quality songs too. Under the Sign of Hell has "Revelation of Doom", but I was disappointed they didn't commit to that ugly ugly production, with distorted EVERYTHING, I mean those drums sound immense!, for the whole album. The debut "Begravelsesnatt" and "Maneskyggens Slave", all in all I'd say I like more songs by Gorgoroth than I do by Immortal, and definitely more songs liked than Mayhem, but then Mayhem put out like 4 albums in their first 25 years!!!
  2. The thing with mgla is the riffs are great, the production I do like as well, absolutely love the drumming, especially the double bell parts, but the song structures tend to be a little lacking, a lot of section 1 - section 2 - section 3 and repeat.
  3. Musta Kaipuu is my favourite. At least 5 solid tracks on it!! Real punchy and heavy
  4. Lelahell - Alif, discovered this little gem this evening
  5. Had not heard of that before, just did a google search on it, looks good and reasonably priced and sounds good too, by the tracks on your soundcloud! Metal gets the blood flowing like no other style of music! DnB (heavier stuff) and Techno are the only other genres for me that come remotely close and by Techno, I mean the hard AF 180bpm + stuff, Hellfish for instance. Now is a great time to be writing and recording music, what with the Covid and all that
  6. Music is good bro, same sitch for me, got music can't sing, well it's more lyrics a struggle with... Be patient though, may take a few days for someone to offer help... I initially gave up and decided to go alone, came back to the site about a month later and found three people had tried to contact me... So check regularly is my advice...
  7. Hey Ash, I absolutely empathise with you, exactly the same situation for me too, are you a Cubase or Pro Logic guy? or something else? Your choice of favourite bands says that you're an all round lover of metal which is great! Same for me man, I lean more towards the black metal side of extreme, though I do really enjoy bands like Ingested too... How long you been writing music dude?
  8. Hello Dxthwish, sorry for the belated reply... Love the track, actually ties in with a project I want to do at a later stage... So the music for the album is done, just finished the demo of the final track this evening... Yeah all it needs is vocals now, if you're interested after hearing the material, you'll have almost complete creative freedom, only requirement really is it's gotta be dark and aggressive. I do have some loose themes I would like the songs to be about, they are really framed in the working song titles, semi political messages really, but I'm open to a complete overhaul if that works better for you... you'll find the material at https://kanilsfoltar.bandcamp.com/releases. Don't suppose you are a Cubase user by any chance? It would make the process a lot easier if so... Anyways I do hope you enjoy the material and hopefully hear back from you soon... Cheers Sabazios
  9. I shall indeed be checking those out... cheers dude!
  10. I thought they used Ukrainian poems exclusively tbh, don't bother me anyway cos the music is so good... ?
  11. Drudkh, Mgła, Cobalt, Barshasketh and Misþyrming are among my faves at the moment... particularly Sitra Achra by Barshasketh... some of these you may be scared off of due to being associated with NSBM, drudkh for instance due to their lyrical themes, but all their lyrics are in Ukrainian anyway, I don't really care too much what they're screeching about tbh, I'm all about the music... Barshasketh's lyrics on Ophidian Henosis II tho, I absolutely love as I really relate to them, (they're not one of the bands associated with NSBM btw)... hope someone falls in love with these bands as much as I did! Enjoy!!
  12. Oh man, everything metal, from maiden to Ingested and everything in between, I like anything with a heavy beat, even partial to a bit of gabba or dnb... I go through phases I guess where I'll listen to a particular style exclusively for up to a couple of weeks... right now, it's what I call intelligent black metal, which is an objective tag I suppose, a bit of "wolves in the throne room", "mgła", "deafheaven", "drudkh" etc... how about you?
  13. Hi metal maniacs, hope y'all are enjoying lockdown... like a typical brit I'm 50% enjoying being furloughed from work, but 50% bored outta my nut... we always got something to complain about. Hehe
  14. Looking for a black metal vocalist for a studio project, full album ready to go just need vox, sound is more akin to wolves in the throne room/drudkh/mgła/early enslaved than modern bm. Vocals can be recorded on phone, voice files can be imported into project, unlikely to make money, but happy to split any profits 50-50
