Man... Demilich and Amorphis are (separately) coming to my area this spring. Amorphis is playing "Tales From The Thousand Lakes" in full... that's even worth sitting through Entombed! Gonna kick myself if I wind up missing either of these.

I seem to be dipping in and out of the forum a bit recently due to family/personal issues mostly. Hope to be back more when things are more stable and my mind is in a better place. You lot are the best ❤️

I was more or less crucified when i mentioned i didn't see the point of playing these remakes MYSELF because theres always emulators with graphical enhancements and they are good enough for me. Apparently, i wasn't allowed to prefer the originals, and was a big criminal for not endorsing the remakes wholeheartedly. ?
That said, not the biggest fan of game series either, but i've had fun with some of them.

Here is my collection of old(ish) consoles.
From left to right; Sega Saturn, Sega Master System, Original Xbox, Nintendo 64, Sony Playstation 2 (hidden underneath the N64) and Nintendo Gamecube.
I'm approaching 200 Xbox Games, the Xbox is where my collection started off.
So what's your favourite games guys? Mine is Midtown Madness 3 on the Original Xbox.

Definitely agree - it is even true for the music that I listen to.  Sometimes I just need a break from routine, so I listen/play something a little different.  Doing so lets me return to the music I like with a clearer mind, which makes me enjoy it even more,

Yeah it´s actually quite fun to make and play different types of music, even if it´s something i wouldn´t normally listen to myself.

excellent thoughts. The soul of the different humans yearns for ultimate variety.  It has come to me to experiment multiple waves of guitar and piano in different mental contexts.

Get a bassist (or a bass!). I really enjoyed your songs, the only thing that put me off is that the midi bass jumps to your ear, in a really really bad way. I would offer recording some bass if i had time, but not going to happen at the moment. I hope you find a vocalist and a solution for the bass, keep on rocking! Subscribed, because i am curious to see what you come up with in the future.

    Thanks man! I appreciate!
I don't have a bass or a bassist and I can't find one, but I'm using a new plugin and the bass is sounding a bit more organic. Those two I used from the RSE on guitar pro 7, that's why it sounds meeh
In the near future If you want to do some collab just shout me out!
Yeah, for now I don't have that kind of money and I need to upgrade my pc first (I'm recording in a low spec pc for now)

Yes you are correct, mastering rates won't change because of how many tracks were up in the mixing stage and it would certainly not be more expensive because it has vocals. Thanks for pointing it out, I will edit that section to avoid any misunderstanding.

Mixing is the best man! I love recording and mastering too but the mixing stage gets the most fun by far.

In this case is tricky beacuse in order to offer the lowest rate possible to help out anyone financing him/herself, rates will most likely be different for each project. For example, let's suppose your mix had problems and I knew addressing them would take me exxxtra time, then maybe I would have said 35euros. Most mastering studios have a flat rate, because they set it at a very safe average.

Just wondering, how unbelievably friendly you´d get with me, if i sent you single tracks for mastering every now and then?

I did check your metal stuff.. it is clean and balanced and all that.. but i need a bit of dirt, raspiness and something that has potential to make the listener bit uncomfortable at times (preferably without ear fatigue).  Heres a track i´m likely to finish next, and would benefit from professional mastering.

Thats extremely friendly indeed, thats basically half of the average rate so very generous of you. Thanks for the quick response. I´ll contact you when i´m finished with the track so you got a customer, if it´s a returning one.. time will tell.

It´s not going to be an intrumental when finished btw, some clean and some growling vocals. I´ve never heard or seen anywhere, that the type of the song would effect the price of mastering? Mixing is a whole different animal since some songs can have ie.8 tracks where others can have 50. Maybe i completely misunderstood you and you actually didn´t consider that as a factor for the mastering process.

I´d rather do the mixing myself, i quite enjoy it and i´m learning more and more every day.. especially now that i finally got a decent pair of studio monitors. I´m not exactly sure why it´s a tricky question to answer? Most mastering studios offer their pricing on their websites, transparency in costs will mean more business!

I am Sigmastic Jeff, long time reader and stalker but now I have to make account to share good finds as many are missing. I like all kinds of music as long as quality deviates upwards. Hope to share the spoils of the musicality with you comrades and future associates.

Hey Warrior, mastering only, tricky question to answer publicly, but after listening to your demo and as long as the songs are released independently, we are talking about 25euro per track range. How friendly is that?

    I will send back:
    - WAV 44.1kHz 16bit (CD)
    - WAV 44.1kHz 16bit and 24bit (Streaming, MFiT)
    - High quality Mp3 (Sonnox)
And if you are curious, I can mix and master that song you shared, for about 125Euro. /,,/

What's up, guys! So, I'm looking for a metal singer (doesn't matter gender) to be a part of a project that I'm working on. I'm a composer, I have 7+ songs made and I wanted someone to be the voice of my music.
Also if you know how to write good lyrics because I suck at writing. I'm hoping on making a online project to post on youtube, a music channel.
I want to make as an online project because I can't find anyone who have the same goals where I live, so I'm looking on the internet for some people to do this.
I'll link here two of my original songs that I recorded

Edit: I will leave my Soundcloud here instead
Edit2: I'm not looking for singers anymore. I'm on a band right now so I won't be making said project anymore

    Salutations!

    ***Unsigned projects only***
    Pick your poison:
    -------------------
    1. Mixing and Mastering
Send over your raw unprocessed tracks, let me know your vision or send a reference of what kind of sound are you looking for your song, ep or album.
    Examples:
-Incorrect: hey man, can you mix these tracks? I don't really know what I'm looking for, just do it and I'll let you know if I like it or if I'd like you to try something different again and again.
-Correct: I want it to sound something like Metallica's "The god that failed" from the black album or I shall be very disappointed and I won't pay you. And if you disappoint me you'll rot in hell, poser.

Pro tip: If you manage to record a DI signal (guitar or/and bass), I will reamp them using top tier amps in the studio at no extra cost.

    2. Are you a solo artist or the band doesn't have a final line up yet?
I can help out recording guitars, bass and background keyboards for your song.

    3. Want to have an orchestra supporting your song?
I will write and record a professional orchestration for your song (virtual instruments).
