I mean that I can't just tune one of my guitars that low. Certainly not one with a floating bridge in it. The guitars I have access to that would be most suitable for this are my dad's. He just set them all up perfectly, so he wouldn't appreciate me fucking with them that much. Otherwise I'd already be part of the band. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing all the guitar composing. The other guitarist doesn't know what the everliving fuck he's doing, but he has potential. He's never learned any scales or anything, he just fucks around all day. So, his muscle memory knows where the strings and frets are. He just has to have some organization and needs to stop being so tone deaf.

Well, hung out with a guy that needs a second guitarist for his band and wanted to see exactly what I was made of. According to him..this guy that's in an alleged amount of 9 bands or so..I'm one of the best guitarists he's seen around here. That was flattering. And bullshit. Problem is, his band wants me tuned in Drop B. I can't compose in drop tunings worth shit, and I'm not willing to tune any of my own guitars that low. I'm hoping they'll just tune up to standard E. It'd be nice to be in a fully formed band.

Sorry, *nearly* perfect rhythm. Of course I'm going to slip here and there. I expect any half-decent drummer to be able to keep rhythm, as that's about half of their job in a band. But yeah, I see more of what you're saying now. My dad ordered an effects loop thing that has a shit ton of drum tracks, which I plan on using much more often than he will. Never thought of it that way man, thanks for the advice.

No. Can't find a drummer. As for what Mz. Hyde said.. When I'm playing on my own, throughout an entire instrumental, if I'm half a beat off by the end, I frankly don't care. If no one is able to notice a change in rhythm, it isn't of my concern. Playing with a tick is the most annoying fucking thing I could ever do. Metronomes drive me insane. I'll focus on keeping the entire beat throughout a song when I have a drummer. From the occasional drummer I've played with (usually someone already in a band, of course), it's not any difficulty to keep rhythm with drums. And I'm not really sure how having a tick would help the relieving of stress or anxiety. Fuck metronomes entirely.

I'm not trying to talk out of my ass haha. When I have something perfected, I record it and replay it to make sure I'm not going off rhythm.

Bitch, I write the realest shit my state has seen. I try my best to relax while playing, especially sweeping, but it's been triggering me to lock up and "panic sweep". And also, fuck metronomes. I can't stand those bastards.

I never have much trouble with the sweeps I compose. But lately, I've been getting a rush of anxiety and I get really shaky due to it every time I'm about to execute a sweep. I'm not even sure why. For fear that I'll fail the sweep? ...Even though I've perfected these ones of my own composition... It's incredibly annoying and discouraging. Half of my solos (which I play every time I pick up a guitar) have sweeping patterns in them. ..Any tips to fix this bullshit anxiety? As I play guitar to relieve anxiety, this is stressful.
