Yesterday marked Winter's first time being able to play in the snow, as she was too young last year, and yesterday's was our first storm of this year. She loved it, and cried when we made her come back inside for dinner.

It's not so much that lines get blurred with genres as that bands often pull from various genres. I tend to slot band where the largest portion of their sound lies, but in cases of more even balances, it can be difficult. Also, it can change on an album to album basis with a band as they evolve.

Just polished this off. Very sweet and malty, large alcohol flavor and scent, lightly hopped, lots of chocolate on the palette. Usually I have a hard time with beers this sweet, but it fairly balanced in a way that I can't really describe, not the least bit overwhelming, despite how my description sounds.

My daughter is a little over one and a half now, but since she was very young, she has loved growling. It trips people out, and the fact that my wife was the one that taught her to do it, and she doesn't like metal. She dances no matter what kind of music we put on, and she loves to sing, so it's all good. Her mom, being a very girly girl, dresses her and teaches her to look the same, so I find that people's reaction to me changes a great deal when I'm with her versus being alone. Extremism doesn't just exist in religion, but since religion deals with such heavy topics as death, morality, and metaphysics/epistemology, the fear that discussion of those topics generates among the insecure can be a powerful motivator. A world with possibilities and gray areas is far too scary, as that means that you're not the only person who can be right, or even worse, that you're wrong. I think that is why left hand path/contrarian philosophies and beliefs have gained so much traction, as they encourage action based upon what feels right, as opposed to fear of the consequences.

I'll admit that she's cute, but they were really underwhelming live. Their studio recordings didn't do much for me either, but it's been a while since I've heard them, so I should give them another try.

I've been getting better as I have gotten older. My brother-in-law is pretty serious, and he has beaten a family friend who was a Pro Tour player. My game of choice is Omaha high/low, and I have won a few tournaments at our in-law's place. I do still prefer the more intense strategic elements of Magic: The Gathering, and I love all of the variety that game provides, but reading plays and calculating odds has grown on me with poker as I've aged.
