  1. Re: Djent I think some Periphery is cool, but I can't stand the vocals. Tesseract is good, however.
  2. Re: CLOTHES Let's just say aside from the occasional metal t-shirt, no one suspects that I listen to metal. Even when I wear metal shirts, I have people go "WTF! You listen to metal?"
  3. Re: So whos been then? You're gonna have a great time, bud.
  4. Re: Greetings Metal People!! That was utterly fantastic. I don't have it on my copy of the debut. I *may* have to search for it now!
  5. Re: So whos been then? I went back in '05 and saw Iron Maiden. Maiden was the only good thing about the festival. In general, Ozzfest's line up isn't great.
  6. Re: Greetings Metal People!! I'm jealous you got to see them live. Their costumes look absolutely menacing.
  7. Re: PIRATE METAL!! Yep. Alestorm's first album is decent, but the other two showed a steep decline in quality.
  8. Re: Rate the user above A metal goddess. 10/10
  9. Re: Anyone for a Bit of VENOM The first two albums are good. Same with Prime Evil. I haven't had a chance to hear the others.
  10. Re: Avenged Sevenfold Meh, I wouldn't even call AS metal.
  11. Re: Iron Maiden Artwork I always thought the Virtual XI artwork was one of the worst Maiden ever put on an album cover. Bleh.
  12. Re: Black Metal Excellent.
  13. Re: melodic death metal ^ Odd that you include Kataklysm in that list. They're not even melodic death metal.
  14. Re: classical? One of the best genres of music period. It's elegant, lifting, and makes for an excellent listen at any time. A big fan here.
  15. Re: NINJA METAL Yeah, that was bad.
  16. Re: Exodus I like 'em too, but they're hit or miss after 1990. The only good thing they released after that year is Tempo of the Damned. I especially dislike modern Exodus (2005 and on). The half-assed groove/thrash combo is horrid.
  17. Re: Greetings Metal People!! Welcome. Nice Ghost avatar.
  18. Re: PIRATE METAL!! I never understood "pirate metal" getting labeled as a subgenre of metal. It's a theme, not a subgenre. Alestorm is a folkish power metal band, Running Wild is heavy/power metal, and, as MetalMaiden said, Swashbuckle is thrash. Aside from Running Wild, I view pirate metal as a huge gimmick. Anyone else agree?
  19. Re: Who is the best out of the big 4 ??? Meh. I like both bands, but they're incredibly inconsistent, even more so than bands in the "big four."
  20. Re: best dual guitarist and keyboardist in power metal?
  21. Re: Black Sabbath ^ What do you mean? I was trying to get an opinion of what everyone thought on Sabbath's other vocalists.
  22. Re: Black Sabbath I like Sabbath, especially with Dio. I hate Ozzy's voice, however. He used to ruin his era Sabbath for me, but since then, I've gotten over it and ignore him. Everybody knows Sabbath with Ozzy and Dio. How does everyone feel about Tony Martin, Ian Gillan, and Glenn Hughes?
  23. Re: dream theater Have you guys heard the new song? I think it's rather predictable and boring!
  24. Re: MotorHead Motorhead predates the NWoBHM movement. Technically they aren't a part of it. Despite that, I see a lot of people incorrectly lump them into it.
