  1. Aw thanks it's appreciated, I mean if you're the main guy on doom right now you got any bands I could start with in that subgenre? Would love to explore that more
  2. Oh crap sorry didn't even look at the date to be honest I was just exploring the site a bit. I mean I guess need was the wrong word, just wanna be a bit more well-rounded I guess.
  3. Honestly haven't found a song that better captures this emotion yet, been a favourite lately!
  4. Honestly not heard that many songs but I have a couple of the big ones I listen to regularly (Nookie, Break Stuff, Rollin'). I don't really get the hate I think they're catchy as fuck. If anyone has any recommendations for other songs they've done I'd happily give them a listen. Would be sick to see them at a festival or something. Oh yeah also sidenote I found out this year I share a birthday with Fred Durst so that's fun, although if I'd have waited a day I could've shared one with Serj Tankian.
  5. Honestly I know I need to explore other subgenres way more but I just have such a soft spot for nu-metal. I find it so energetic as a general rule. System Of A Down and Korn are becoming some of my favourite bands lately, got to see Korn live at Download 2022 which was incredible. Slipknot is obviously a big one. What kind of sound are you looking for? A few songs I'd recommend off the top of my head would be Jumpdafuckup (Soulfy ft. Corey Taylor), 7 Words by Deftones, and Blind by Korn (the "are you ready?" just always gets me pumped, it's like it was made to get a mosh pit going). There's so many more I love but those might give you a few places to start.
  6. Ah thank you for that! Sorry just wasn't quite sure which one to post in at first Thank you both for the recommendations I'll be sure to check those out! Genuinely appreciate it a lot
  7. Aw thank you haha My favourite bands from that genre would be Korn, Slipknot, and System Of A Down, I'd say.
  8. Surprisingly difficult to find online so I was hoping someone would have recommendations here (I know the thread says no recommendation asks but I figured that was general requests rather than looking for specific songs, very new here so please say if that's not okay). Basically I find music a great outlet for any kind of emotion but when a lyric just hits it's just such a cathartic experience. I've already got a bit of a playlist going. Lots of Slipknot, shockingly enough, 25 Years by Pantera, Left Unfinished by Machine Head, King For A Day by Pierce The Veil, Start The Healing and a few other Korn songs, The Devil's Own by FFDP, Hate To Feel by Alice in Chains. More generically just for the pure anger side I've got Break Stuff and Down With The Sickness on there too. To be specific about it my dad's just a complete narcissist who's always coming in and out of my life. Any time he's decided I'm worth his time again it's just to try to lecture and control me. So yeah if anybody has any metal or heavy rock songs they listen to that deal with any negative feelings about fathers it would be appreciated right now as it's a particular bad patch. Thank you and have a great day all of you
  9. Hey everyone I'm from Manchester (hence Satan's Hollow regular), always been into alternative music and rock but been getting more into metal specifically the last couple of years and attended my first Download earlier this year which was great. I'm more into nu-metal quite honestly but looking to expand my tastes. Hope you're all having a good day :)
