  • Biography
Hey, hey! I go by many names, and many of my online friends call me Vixen. Other friends and family, and classmates, however, call me Jaiden (or Jay). My close friends call me "Jinjer" as a nickname because I talk about the band so often around them (and I'm pretty sure it's one of the only metal bands they know of, because many of my friends and family, I am the only metalhead), and my name starts with a "J", so they keep the nickname the same spelling as the band.

  1. Guacamole is sacred. Tacos might end up vanishing, but guacamole should never. If it does, the world will be a catastrophe and nothing will never be the same again. Salsa and queso are the same way...
  2. Well then, what happens when the tacos disappear?
  3. Visceral - I Prevail Omens - Lamb of God :Signal: - Silent Planet Bad Things - I Prevail Thy Becoming Eternal - Behemoth BLOODSHOT - Machine Head Whispers of Your Death - Counterparts Exofilth - Distant Diabolical Majesty - Revocation One Last Time - Arch Enemy This probably has to be the most random order that has shown up yet for this lol
  4. Funeral Derangements -- Ice Nine Kills
  5. Songs that are really meaningful to me are the songs that turned me to metal. With all the different subgenres in metal, and occasionally listening to rock, I've found a plethora of different artists I've grown to enjoy. Occasionally I will listen to artists that are not rock or metal, like EDM or tracks from musical soundtracks, but metal is my main genre. These three songs have the most meaning because they got me into metal, in which I found a great admiration for music: 1. Sad But True -- Metallica [The first metal song I heard, and the song that led me to become a fan of Metallica, which ended up being the first metal band I got into. From there, I got into bands like Megadeth and Pantera, and so forth. But those were the first three metal bands I got into.] 2. Bat Country -- Avenged Sevenfold [This is the song that eventually led up to my interest for "the core" stuff, and, of course, A7X. Metalcore, deathcore, mathcore... I listen to a lot of these genres a lot, and most bands I listen to fall under those categories.] 3. Falling Away from Me -- KoRn [This is the song that got me into KoRn, and I pretty much checked out a bunch of nu-metal bands from there, finding that it's also a metal genre I find myself coming back to a lot (other than listening to the bands that got me into metal).]
  6. 1. Bread & Roses -- Stray From The Path, Jesse Barnett 2. Hush -- Stick To Your Guns 3. Embrace Oblivion -- Fallujah 4. Do Your Worst -- Outline In Color, Loveless 5. Soulbreaker -- Fallujah 6. Hurrikan -- Electric Callboy 7. Sleep -- Dead Crown 8. Spearmint Revolt -- Norma Jean 9. Yen -- Slipknot 10. Silver Tongue -- Alter Bridge
  7. Probably being knocked around, in general. I never really planned to go to mosh pits anyway, but even then, my mom wasn't sure whether I'd still get knocked around or get hurt even outside of the mosh pit. My mom and I never really go to sports games or anything, especially me -- I'm not very athletic. But from what I've heard from others who've been to games and stuff, I could probably see it won't be more dangerous than those. Yeah, I do plan to bring some ear plugs for sure haha They're just standard social media platforms pretty much (almost) every teenager at my school has... I don't really use social media much anyway, there's really nothing interesting on there anymore. I just follow bands on Instagram and stuff to see any updates and stuff, check for new releases and stuff. I'll even check tours and stuff, just to see what's going on there. I like being updated about that stuff, but otherwise, I don't really go on those apps very often cause they're not of my interest. Especially TikTok. I don't even know why I have the app, it's pointless.
  8. She's just looking out for me, if anything. I understand her concerns, especially since there's the stereotypes around a metal concert, but she's never been to one either. She doesn't mind that I listen to this kind of music, she's just not that pleased when I ask to go to metal concerts cause she's just concerned that I may get injured or something. I'm not the strongest person ever, I'm essentially a twig who often gets teased about that, since I don't have much muscle. I've had friends who'd tease me for it, but I don't think much of it, but they're also not entirely wrong I probably wouldn't even win a fight against anyone (not that I plan to get into fights at concerts anyways,). Though, that doesn't stop me from wanting to go to a metal concert, so it's definitely on my bucket list for the future. My mom is definitely protective of me, but I wouldn't say she's too over-protective by any means. I'm allowed to be on (certain) social media platforms, and I even use discord (although she's limiting my use of it during the school year where she put the time limit on the app for 5 minutes a day, which I can barely get through a conversation with. So I just don't use it during the school year -- I don't know my screen time password, and even if I did, she'd still be able to see my screen time if I use discord). I can use Instagram and TikTok (which I've grown to despise, so I'm barely even on anyways), but not Snapchat or Twitter. She allows me to use Reddit, Quora, and these forums though. I do find it odd she does allow that though, but she won't let me go to a metal concert. I do agree with that, I don't plan to go alone. I could probably think of one or two people that would be interested in going with me, so something might be able to come from that, at least. My mom normally takes me to and from places, since I don't have my driver's license yet (working on that though), but considering she won't take me to a metal concert, I doubt I'd be able to convince her. She won't sit through one either, so I wouldn't be able to go to one with her, so I'll look towards my other options. Even if I had my license, I'd still probably wait until a certain point in time until I drive myself (and a friend or two) to one of those concerts, especially if they end up downtown (full of aggressive drivers there where I live).
  9. I understand it's hard for parents to let go, though it will be nice to have independence. Of course that doesn't affect my view of my parents (the fact that I'm not allowed to go to a metal concert yet), I still love them (of course). And it doesn't affect my interest in metal. That's a pretty cool gig! Bet that was a memorable experience.
  10. I would love to go to a concert, but it might take a lot of convincing on my mom's behalf. I think my dad might allow it though, but I can't guarantee it. He likes Metallica, but I don't know if he'd take me to see like a Lorna Shore concert or Slipknot. Though, when I move out of the house and have the ability to make my own decisions, I will most likely go to a metal concert, if not more if I come to enjoy it (which I probably will). I've been to a pop concert because my mom likes Bruno Mars, but it wasn't my thing. I don't plan to go into mosh pits in the first time around (I doubt I will in general), and I definitely won't make the decision to those dingy black metal gigs LOL But I definitely plan to in the future. It's my last year in high school anyway, I'm almost 18 (in less than a month). So soon enough, probably. My parents will have to give some freedom at some point.
