  1. Hmmm I think I should be offended!
  2. Serious Contenders Only Thanks BOUT
  3. I do tend to agree with that, I got into Korpiklaani through songs they did in their native tongue. But where possible I also like to hear some of those songs in English as well.
  4. I don't exercise to eat more foods like chocolate etc but I do look at chocolate differently depending on how much exercise I've done. My calorie count system is something like: Rode 30ks this morning, had salad for lunch, sat in the tractor or at the computer all day, a choccy or two wont hurt. Rode 30ks this morning, spent the day walking back and forth along a fence line repairing fences, tired as hell, fuck it, the whole block of chocolate is fine!
  5. Yeah Knob Creek is at most stores, as is all flavours of Beam and Markers Mark. Beam is bottled here under license I believe but not sure about the others. In most cases if it has to be imported by the case it increases the cost and therefore makes the availability less. The supermarket bottle shops and the smaller places are less likely to import the higher cost stuff because they then have to mark they price up more making it a smaller seller. The larger bulk buy type stores, of which there is only a few, will import in larger numbers bring their cost down, but with government taxes and profit they still make the price higher but people think they are getting something special for a bargain price because that's what the shop advertises. That High West was $99 bottle from an online store that doesn't guarantee stock levels are accurate and able to be shipped immediately. In a large 'discount' liquor store, paying rent and wages etc, that would be $120-150 and marked as a special price.
  6. Didn't see that but I saw the US Navy dunk an F-35 into the South China Sea after it missed it's landing...that wasn't snow related though.
  7. Last night on the news they were talking about Darwin and parts of Northern Territory being cut off by flood waters and shops in Alice Springs struggling to get stock because of it. 3 minute news reports about shortages and how it wasn't panic buying but all the shelves were empty. They then spoke to the public and the first guy says he came in to get something for dinner but there wasn't anything there, the second woman said she got everything she wanted and didn't have any issues. They then cut the feed and went to another story!
  8. I went to the snow once when I was a kid, hated every second of it. Then I gave it another chance about 15 years ago when it snowed up the road from us, it was still the same. Unless it's changed in 15 years I'm still going to say it sucks.
  9. Welcome to the forums, we can talk about anything you like. (Damn I sound like a therapist! "Now come and lay down on the couch and tell me what's on you're mind")
  10. I know the numbers aren't huge but some bands are releasing music in their native tongue after the English release. Some bands release these as bonus tracks and B sides. I found a lot of folk metal bands release music in their native tongue either as a main or an extra. But there is no doubting were the biggest market is.
  11. Looking at all those Whiskeys on the previous page there is only one of them (High West) available over the counter in this country and we'd nearly need a second mortgage to buy that one.
  12. What's on my mind? Cold, thanks to you lot and all your talk about snow!! Thank god I never see that white stuff around here, I might have to stop wearing shorts.

  14. I've got a double block of Caramel Cadbury sitting in the cupboard next to my computer....damn is it any wonder I ride so far on the bike each day!!
  15. I suppose in some ways my ulcer did help me cut back even further, but that only flares up occasionally, usually after too much salt or citrus. However I'd cut down a heap more than that years ago and I don't really know why. I think I just got sick of the high price of booze, then got sick of drinking beer, then got sick of drinking cider, then prices went up again and confirmed my thoughts so I just gradually went back to bourbon or whiskey only. Now I have half a cartoon of beer that's been sitting here more than 12 months and I only open when I want to make a beer batter for some fish, even then the smell of the open can reminds me why I gave up drinking the stuff.
  16. He's got some really great music in his back catalogue. The King Of Metal was a bit of a twist, not as rocking, but the lyrics seemed a bit deeper. His Dimebag tribute is a really interesting and memorable song.
  17. Sounds good, you've given me something to waste Saturday morning with, I'm going to check out their other stuff
  18. I knew it was a thing, just didn't know it was for anything, I thought it was for things like facial damage via accident where the dentist is already balls deep in someone's face an a little bit more wouldn't matter. I've always thought people had to go to the Bali to get their cut price boob job with their wisdom teeth extraction. To be honest I don't really need to know the legalities of botox via dentist because there aint no way I'm asking my dentist for a check up and some botox. With what he charges for things no one could afford his botox anyway!!
