Ok, I should have put 'other'. I did say 'etc' though. Perhaps more importantly I missed Reign In Blood. would probably drop Ride The Lightning from my list on that basis. Arise doesn't fit neatly into the thrash box for me somehow, maybe it's the vocals...

That's going a bit far. Even Diablolus had one really good track - Point. God Hates Us All had quite a few good ones - God Send Death, Threshold, Bloodline. Christ Illusion was pretty shit, but I recall the opener being quite good. World Painted Blood is an incredible track, and that album was reasonably solid in general. And Repentless at least had When The Stillness Comes.

Seemingly Endless Time is probably my favourite. Oh, and that 'Lost' track from the new album isn't bad.

I love Slayer to bits, probably my favourite band. Never got the feeling any of them are/were racist, any more than I've got the feeling any of them are/were satanic. On which basis I'd personally prefer it if they didn't bother with the imagery on either front really. It's rare they produce a shirt I'd feel comfortable wearing, and I don't just mean because they tend to be printed on uncomfortable brands. I've never joined the 'Slaytanic Wehrmacht' either. But yeah, they're still the best.

I thought Death Magnetic was decent too. As was the black album, for the most part. Everything in between was pretty awful though, and my hopes aren't very high for the new one. They'll always get the thumb from me though, out of respect for the first four albums.
