Mictlan given a Damn from GorboGorboze in WHAT BAND IS THIS???
GorboGorboze, I couldn't find anything on that spelling you suggested. I can only make out certain letters and thought if it was a band tee, that someone would recognize the likeness of the logo. You know that's funny your wife said that because I asked the girl at the thrift store if she listened to metal, and said of course, so I said "Can you tell what that says?" After she inspected it for like 2 seconds, she goes, "Oh that's Metallica." ?
Hi there, I bought it without knowing the band (if it is indeed a band tee) because I've bought albums of bands I didn't know before, Throne of Katarsis for example, and ended up loving it! Plus the design is sick, it's like a semi nude woman cloaked like death trampling over skulls. So I thought it could be some obscure black/death metal band that i wanted to make a potential back patch for a battle vest.

Mictlan gave a Damn to GorboGorboze in WHAT BAND IS THIS???
Well, I think it starts with "The" and between the "A" and the "N" there is an S. so "The Alcasodin" might be close, but no such band appears in the pages of the book of heavy metal. My wife asks if it says "Metallica", but I'm pretty sure that is not it.

Come hell or high water I'll be there next year or at worst 2018. No doubt it's worth the twenty odd hours on a plane and painful dealings with customs etc.
Oh also Arckanum are awesome. Really should check out Craft one of these days. BAN, you bastard, STOP ADDING SHIT TO THE LIST!!!

Mictlan gave a Damn to BlutAusNerd in Who's your favorite black metal drummer?
I love it when one metal black metal bands are started by drummers, because the drums are usually the weak link in those projects. With seasoned drummers though, that is not the case, so bands like Arckanum and Leviathan have an advantage in that way.

Definitely. Arckanum is one of the best black metal bands from Sweden IMO, they deserve a great deal more attention than they receive. Same goes for Avsky, and also the band they remind me most of, Craft, whom I like slightly more.

What seems to be your posting issue? Perhaps myself or one of the other moderators can walk you through it. Tait is kept rather busy keeping the site running.

The best band patches are made from the skin of idiots with band tattoos. If you flay and cure the tattooed areas properly, they'll stay completely legible for years with occasional conditioning.

Flames of Hell may fit the title of this thread more than anyone. They recorded their one album in the basement of a YMCA in Iceland circa 1987, were kicked out following that recording along with the producer, pressed 1000 copies of said album, and then fell off the face of the earth. It's pretty weird sounding stuff too, lots of guitar solos, bizarre atmosphere, and some wild vocals.
