Anyone heard A Hill To Die upon? Maybe not so obscure. There's also a band from London called Voices features ex members of Akercocke

Not too bad has definite black metal groove to it.

Abyssic Hate, Xasthur, Woods of Desolation, Total Self Hatred.

Jazz, blues, shoegaze, indie, old school rap ie grandmaster flash and the furious five, punk, post punk, new wave, a little bit of country and western, orchestral movie soundtracks, and those goodtime oldies.

Not bad it's kind of trippy.

Long hard road out of hell is a good read even if you don't like Marilyn Manson. Roots Max Cavalera bio is okay. I'm waiting on Scott Ian's autobiography. There's also the choosing death a run down of the history of death metal and grindcore. I read the Swedish death metal one and it wasn't too bad.

Anyone else a fan? I enjoyed their debut sorrow and extinction and last years follow up foundations of burden was in my top ten. Here's a link to the song 'the ghost I used to be' off foundations of burden, if you haven't heard them check it out.

I'm from NZ, I listen to anything Rock/Metal/Punk, some of my favourite bands are Obituary, Ghost Brigade, Beast Milk, Anathema, Agalloch. I'm always in search of new bands and underground bands. I'm always keen to hear any recommendations anyone might have.
