Sicario and The Big Short. Both great. Made an 8 hour flight go by....

Praying again to the "in-flight entertainment gods" for some new movies on my flight. I look forward to the 1st in each month as new additions to the movie selection appear.

Wine sounds great[emoji3] I'm in a similar frame of mind - need to find some new death/doom bands, can't rely on the same old suspects ya know...Slumber, Rapture, Ghost Brigade all gone, Saturnus never in any rush to release new material and so forth. I sometimes go on YouTube to a band I like and follow the recommendations or similar bands which pop up in search of some new stuff. But nothing has struck a chord that compels me to invest much time in the bands I've found. If I find anything I'll be sure to post it.

The Crown - Deathrace King. "Executioner", "Total Satan", "Blitzkrieg Witchcraft".....some great stuff on this gem.

I have The Novella Reservoir, Aphotic and the last one Bled White. All so-so. Bled White pretty much all clean vocals -some good moments here and there but come over too cheesy at times.

Leviathan - Scar Sighted. Return to form!

Bergtatt is great 'late at night' music IMO.

A small price to pay I would suggest.....

I think my wife and I 'decided' we'd get engaged on or about our 2nd date. That's weird I know. Been married 8 years and never happier. We just knew. Sometimes it just happens like that I guess. The fun part then was the 'when', 'where' and 'how' I'd propose.

Abbath s/t this weekend. Some nice slower numbers and as always guitar tone is fucken perfect but damn those drums are jarring and there's a bit of filler.

Affliction Gate new EP "Dying Alone" kinda coolish mix of Asphyx and Bolt Thrower.".

Abbath self-titled. It's 'ok' without really standing out. I don't mind this. What's your take?

Yep spot on. If you weren't there and have no connection to the time/place etc then I can't see why or how anyone would really gravitate towards the whole 'scene'. Without the nostalgic link it must appear totally plastic and worthless and stupid. I get that. Mind you there were plenty who were there who didn't gravitate towards it either. Personally I love it. Turds and all.
