  1. Martial Arts Originally I studied soft style (there was only hard and soft when I started) but some of the Ninjitsu incorporates hard style. There's a little overlap. I'm tall so Aikido works well for me. Physics and all...and yeah I still practice but not as much as I used to or should. I got back into playing ice hockey a few years ago and that takes up a lot of my free time.
  2. I've practiced Aikido since I was 14 and spent two years in Japan at one point. I met Frank Dux and he showed me Ninjitsu. Very effective.
  3. Joe Morris and Chris Cretella-Storms and Stephan Meidell-Cascades. Had to review both for the free jazz blog.
  4. After spending time a lot in both countries the last few years I can honestly say few in Sweden are joking now. Oil changes a lot of things....for good and worse.
  5. Hansel and Gretyl-Black Forest Metal (????) and Frost-From the Dark
  6. Some Wes Montgomery, Ellington and stuff I need to review for the free jazz blog. No metal on weekends while the wife is home...
  7. Age 12 or 13, we somehow made our way to NYC and the Beacon Theatre for Weather Report with Jaco. I'm pretty sure my parents had no idea what we were up to (nor did we!). Show was awesome.
  8. The system we have is by Premier. 4 stage reverse osmosis system. Works great. I'd like to cut down on bottles too.
  9. Yeah I have that too. This sounds waaaaay better but thankfully a friend gave me the 6cd set and I didn't buy this or I'd be pissed.
  10. Yup. With the Band. The sound is cleaner and such but still sounds like a drunken mess to me.
  11. The remastered Basement Tapes. I dunno', this stuff has always seemed overhyped to me.
  12. I just ordered the Ulver vinyl box set. Won't get here until December though.
  13. The new house we bought has a reverse osmosis system and its the first time I've drank non-bottled water where I didn't get sick (I have porphyria which is like the canary in the proverbial goal mine...). Once we replaced the filters it's been great. A++
  14. When I hit 35 I hadn't seen a dentist in years and started having all sorts of issues. Uggghhhh. Now I floss and brush religiously and see my dentist twice a year like a good boy and it's all good but oy, does dental work suck. And only purified bottled water for me. The water in Nashville is horrible. In Norway it's our fjord water but here, ugh.
  15. They really could have written lyrics to a few more songs and made it a full-fledged Floyd record. Many songs are fully structured and begging for it but I guess without Rick's input they wanted to keep it "pure" or something. The last track, "Nervana", really rocks.
  16. Striker-City of Gold (I know nothing about this band but neither do I about Gnaw Their Tongues. I think my buddy just hands me things based on band names )
  17. Gnaw Their Tongues-Wir Essen...and the new Pink Floyd album.
