I had an old gf who lived in the oldest standing inhabited house in our town (built in the late 1600's or early 1700's as I recall). All kinds of weird shit happened in that house including people getting forcibly pushed. Her dad removed all the doors save front and back since they had 11 kids. They just kind of learned to live with it and nothing too terribly crazy or serious happened but I did have to spend one Halloween there and did my laundry in the basement. Creepy to say the least.
My family did everything they could to discourage me. Partly maybe because my grandfather was a concert clarinetist and knew how hard it was but I'm one stubborn son of a gun and now they all bug me for tickets and stories, etc. Makes me laugh.
Some would consider it more punk than metal but I have pieces of the wall of CBGB's "dressing room" the night before they tore it all down. The Dictators (with Blondie opening!) were the last band to play before it closed.
So the Glass Low symphony turns out is based on Bowie's Low and is really great. How Now/Strung Out is a live solo organ/violin recording and is...good but weird. Listening to Terje Rypdal's violin concerto right now but this kept me busy most of the day-
