Completely unrelated, but i have been listening to a really weird mix of psychedelic and stoner rock. Some of those guys really know how to name stuff. I found a youtube channel called  "The Bong Druid of Mammoth Weed Mountain".
As for cats, they seem to like me, but I'm indifferent to them, more of a dog person.

My main instrument is the guitar and I used to play the bass. Most of the time I play classic rock, and what I guess you could call proto-metal. Like most people I guess, I will turn to almost anything when I am unsure, particularly the blues. To be honest, most of my playing is just blues with a little more overdrive. As much as I love metal, these days I rarely play any, the fancy fretwork and incredible playing speed no longer excites me the way it used to. At some point I wouldn't mind forming some kind of heavy blues rock band (think along the lines of Thin Lizzy and the like) or something, though that'll be a little while off yet (it doesn't help that I am very finicky when it comes to vocals).

Speaking of guitars, I picked this lovely old thing in Manchester today. The guy said he believed it to be a late60s early 70s Kay. It is one of the nicest playing guitars I have ever had the pleasure to play. I'm not usually one for naming inanimate objects, but I think I'll make an exception in this case, any ideas?

According to some, this was actually one of the very first "heavy metal" recordings. I'm not certain myself, the line between psychedelic blues rock and early metal can be very blurred at times.
Oh, and when I say according to some, I mean according to Geddy Lee, Eric Clapton and many others.
