  1. Re: Question?

Yes! You totally should, but should do it sooner rather than later. Gardening is good for your health and your spirit! I garden a lot myself. Should I wear jeans or leggings under my sweater-dress today?
Sadly, I currently live in an area where there are many barriers to successful gardening. Leggings sound more interesting. Why can't I find my scarf?
  2. Re: Deicide

I think Dead But Dreaming is my favorite on the album, but all of the songs are great, just not as memorable as those on the debut. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
I suppose you're right. I hadn't thought about it that way. I still prefer the complexity of Legion, but it does make the songs less memorable. The last album they did before they finally figured out how to write the boring, formulaic death metal they apparently aspired to. Though the song Once Upon The Cross still gets me fired up.

Cold water made for human consumption. I don't know what it is about some places in this country but the water tastes like dilute milk.
That's from a mostly discontinued New Deal era attempt to convert municipal water treatment plants to milk dispensaries, in an effort to convince people that this really was the Land Of Milk And Honey. Sadly, it was never fully implemented due to political friction with the sugar lobby, and most of the conversion was scrapped.

Be sure to get diving boots as well - the seismic disturbances caused at metal concerts frequently cause ankle injuries' date=' so heavy boots with high tops are best. Shop around but don't hesitate to splurge.[/quote'] This is an excellent point, and I've found that it's sometimes best to plan ahead by wearing full leg and neck braces. Depending on the band, a snorkel may be appropriate. And don't be afraid to ask for some direction once you're there.
  5. Having a mirror on both sides of your helmet is strongly recommended. Rubber gloves aren't a strict requirement, but they can't hurt. A respirator is indispensable. And of course, making sure that you're clearly marked as a student researcher is the best way to be safe; whether it's a lit sign, a day-glo safety vest, or even just blinking lights in both front and back. Only 25% of accidents happen from the rear.

  6. Made another shepherd's pie last night. Ghouly will be happy to know that Trader Joe's was out of the Parisian carrots and pearl onions. Made it a little more spicy this time. We had company and ate a ton, and we still have more than half of it left. So good.

  7. Re: What Are You Listening To?

His very latest solo work is decent - there are good riffs here and there - but unfortunately the vocals completely destroy its cohesion for me; it sounds like he's just doing rhythm guitar on a Soilwork album or something. It's also got djenty elements which are more annoying than anything else since I know Loomis can clearly do better.
That's disappointing to hear. I'll have to check it out, regardless, but from your description, I doubt my impression of it would be very different from yours.

The Godless Endeavor and The Obsidian Conspiracy more or less delivered what I was looking for; really heavy' date=' techy, menacing-sounding stuff. I might warm to their other material later on when I have different expectations, though.[/quote'] His vocal melodies sounded much more fresh and inspired on politics and dnb, I feel like he never broke his own mold after that. Loomis has always written some crushing riffs. Dead Heart and Enemies Of Reality were pretty weak, though. I wish I could say I was excited about any of Warrell or Loomis's newer output, but it's left me pretty cold. The dude can solo, though, he's one of the few shreddy guys I can appreciate.

It's easily their best IMO, love that one. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
Me too! I can't get enough, lately. It was the peak of their songwriting, and the last time Warrell really impressed me. I remember kind of liking This Godless Endeavor, but in general their later stuff struck me as forced and predictable.
  10. Re: Question?

Well' date=' it got wet and now it keeps slipping off.[/quote'] Wow, I always thought that song was about the bathroom floor at McDonald's. Totally different interpretation. I love that kind of terse, evocative ambiguity.
