1. Haha, I like the music of the '60 and '70 so I guess 8/10 (btw. this is a cool thread, when I'm done with my ethnic chill/pop solo project I'll post it here to see what You think - after all I listen to more than just metal ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbhF3g4wI_w
2. Wow, thank You sooo much for all this kind words! Prząśniczka, 972, Silitian Tale, Karczma Rzym and Wataha are the songs from our EP "Wataha". It's available to download from last.fm I think and from other places (but as it's an EP the quality sucks alot). We hope to release our debut longplay in March/April. As for the genre - we never knew what we're exactly playing, because as You'll hear on our debut we range from shamanic black metal, calm folk ballads to progressive and power metal, I guess some people will complain that we're too diverse One of our songs especially is very experimental and we recorded our first video clip to this song. It's "Wiedźma" (The Witch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBJUUd_p220
3. Lol, I'm vegetarian for about one year now and hope to go vegan soon though it may be hard I guess. No milk, cheese etc will be really hard
4. Some footage from our summer tour with the new, english version of "Wataha" (Wolfpack). I hope it's enjoyable https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2Dq1LVzbpk
5. LOL, just me trying my new stage outfit (looks like a mythological character, a Rusalka or something. Anyway, pagan metal ftw^^) I knew the quality is laptop crap, but I somehow like it xD http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg208/Heollin/webcam-toy-photo176kl_zps7cb38e0d.jpg
6. Here's the preview of our first EP "Wataha".

10. You're right, but it's obvious
11. Ok, there's a thread mainly for men so... I think we girls deserve one too I had the idea after I saw the thread with the women, but when I saw Shadow's posts I was sure it's a good idea to make something like that for girls RIGHT! The first one I'm going to present is... my bf. He's our violinist and he gets the attention of all the ladies down under the stage. Guy noone knows who he is, but girls on the internet love him ...and Ed Marquezini
12. As much as I hate male chauvinism, I hate female chauvinism too And as a girl I have to deal with girls around me who just say stupid words like "men are pigs, men have no feelings (...)" etc. I never had this problem guys, I never lived this stereotypes. As a kid I climbed on trees, I played lego and when I was like 5-6 years old I didn't wanna be a ballet dancer, princess or something like this, but I wanted to be a Paleontologist. I knew how anaerobic bacteria became aerobic. Then I went to school and was like "WOAH!?". I met them. I met girls! Those weird creatures in pink leggins who thought they're the center of the world, who always had good grades, who never fought, never got dirty in mud, never played football... I mean I was raised near a forest, far away from other people, just my parents and my younger sister, I wasn't even baptised (thanks to them!) it was a weird world I got into. And I just got more male friends than female. With the time I met some great girls with whom I could talk and who were more like me... in high school I had 3 best friends, 2 girls and one guy. And with this guy I could just talk about everything, football, boobs, girls, I helped sometimes with his relationship (I really like his GF, she's just pure cuteness). And yes, male-female friendship can work. Now I'm playing in a metal band so I'm surrounded just by guys, but it's pretty fine for me. One of them is my dear BF and those others are great friends. Sadly, in the band we (the three of us who grounded Helroth) played before there were sometimes chauvinist jokes - very primitive btw., I really hated. But I'm happy not to see those people anymore
13. Can't sleep and it's horrible!
14. Vanilla Coke! Shieeet, it so hard to get it here in Poland and it's so sinful good! What's in my mind right now? "I've got to sleep, I've got to sleep, I've got to sleep" ...but it ain't working
15. The band was formed in 2012 by three friends, Martha, Zapor and Ernest. Their similar view on the music they wanted to play allowed Helroth to create songs with pagan themes, strong, male vocals accompanied by traditional female voices, flowing violin and flute melodies, powerful sounding complex guitars and a massive barrage of drums. It isn't easy to classify the music the band's playing. It's a specific mixture of ethnic, almost shamanic sounds with calm, folkish melodies, growls and guitars that have their roots in death and some times even black metal. In April 2013 the band releases an EP, goes on tour together with Avven from Slovenia and will play in Warsaw, Bielsko-Biała, Chorzów and Wrocław as well as in Brno and Praha in the Czech Republic at the Beltinefest. Band members: Orthank (Veehal) - Vocals Marchew (Ex-Vecordia) - Flutes, bagpipes, 2nd voc. Ernest (Ex-Vecordia) - Violin Zapor (Ex-Vecordia) - Solo guitar Merol - Rhythm guitar Morwin - Bass Official Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Helroth Official webside: Helroth Official Download links on last.fm - Helroth ? 16. The band was formed in december 2012 by Martha, Zapor and Ernest - the former band members of the polish folkmetal act Vecordia. They wanted to play heavier, combining strong, male vocals with traditional female voices, flowing violin and flute melodies, powerful sounding complex guitars and a massive barrage of drums. The vocal duty was given to Orthank, also a member of Veehal, a Warsaw based death metal group, and Merol, who collaborated with Zapor in the past, for rhythm guitars. With the year 2013 beginning, the band is up to record a PROMO album and tour in the spring. Members: Orthank (Veehal) - Vocals Martha (Ex-Vecordia) - Flutes, bagpipe, 2nd vox Ernest (Ex-Vecordia) - Violin Zapor (Ex-Vecordia) - Lead guitar Merol - Rhythm guitar Morwin - Bass Official facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/Helroth NEW VIDEO!!!

Arkona

I listened to everything Arkona recorded, I've got 3 CD's and seen them live 2 times It's my favourite band. Btw. I had the pleasure to support them here in Warsaw on their concert, it was great. And we even had a common backstage where I got a photo with Masha. Btw. her power on the stage is amazing!
19. Arkona (rus.) Carpathian Forest Wintersun Amon Amarth Bruce Dickinson
20. Hi to You all! I'm Martha from Helroth, a recently formed polish pagan metal band. I play various flutes and the gaita as well as doing the "white voice" singing. I gratuated the Polish talent's school, but decided that I won't go abroad to a music conservatory, because I'm interested more in etnic music instruments, old cultures and I just couldn't left my band (first the previous one, now my current) and my boyfriend. My favourite bands are: Arkona (rus.), Menhir, Carpathian Forest, Svartsot, Adorned Brood, Wardruna, Drudkh, Burzum, Fejd, Eluveitie, Nortt, Wintersun, Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson... and some more. Mainly pagan/folk metal and some black Ok, I just don't know what to write. If You got some questions I'm glad to answer And here's a little ballad for You, it's a legend about the treasures of mount Ślęża (the mountain was a place of pagan cult once).
