  1. The community is always evolving here, so much has changed in the decade I’ve been around. Still I like to think I’ve made a handful of friends around here over the years. NP: Nargaroth - Unity (2001)
  2. They brief Google search reveals only Suffocation visiting my neck of the woods. This year, at least of the bands I would want to see.
  3. Afraid not, we had asked him to tone down his rhetoric, probably a dozen times, since the message clearly wasn’t getting through to him our collective hands were tied on the matter. NP: Black Sabbath - Sabotage
  4. Maniac Butcher - Lucan-Antikrist (1996)(1996) Maniac Butcher - Krvestrev (1997)
  5. Lord Belial - Enter the Moonlight Gate (1997) Lord Belial - Unholy Crusade (1999)

  7. Judas Iscariot - The Cold Earth Slept Below (1995)
  8. Dusk / Aphotic - To Find New Darkness / The Slumber split (2005)
  9. One of these days, I’ll have to start paying more attention to what the rest of you post, but considering it’s already been more than six months since I started the arduous task of sorting out all my black metal, and at last count, I still have some 150 bands to go today, isn’t that day… NP: Nokturnal Mortum - To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire (1998)
  10. Nocturnal Mortem - Goathorns (1997)
  11. Afterbirth - In But Not Of figured it’s about time I check this out, and while I’m only two tracks in, I can already tell it’s something I’ll keep coming back to
  12. Inquisition - Nefarious Dismal Orations
  13. Inquisition - Invoking the Majestic Throne of Satan
  14. Inquisition - Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult only another 140-ish BM bands. In my collection, I’ll get that top 100 list done one of these days…
  15. That is the exact sentiment that has led me to almost entirely stop exploring the power/progressive metal genres, I find it almost impossible for a new band to make an impact worth considering them over any of the bands I already listen to. This is to one extent, or another true, for all the met sub genres. I enjoy, but most obvious, in the realms of power, traditional, and thrash. NP: Fossilization - Leperous Daylight
  16. Spectral Voice / Undergang split (2023)
  17. I’ve not had the time to keep up-to-date with Netflix, either for obvious reasons, trying to catch up on shows friends have recommended both their and on other streaming platforms has been slow going.
  18. Wednesday is the most recent series I’ve watched, for something touted as a more adult interpretation of the Addams family. It sure was juvenile and contrived. One of these days, I’ll find a Netflix show besides stranger things that I actually enjoy watching…
  19. Astrofaes - Dying Emotions Domain (1998)
  20. Diocletian - Amongst the Flames of a Burning God (2019)
  21. Archgoat - Angelc**t: Tales of Desecration (1993)
