  1. Have you kept up with them? I feel like their last one, "Księżyc milczy luty" would probably be your kind of thing
  2. He is thankfully...they're both strong and healthy now, but it shouldn't have happened. That vet was an an absolute dumbass. They were both sick as little kittens, basically they'd had the human equivalent of a respiratory infection, and they were just getting over that and were finally feeling better. We took them in for their follow up visit, and she told us we should do their shots. So we figured being a vet she knew what she was talking about and let her do it. The one did fine, he slept a lot, but that was it, but my other guy had that bad reaction. Way our current vet explained it was that the shots are like allergy shots, so they can build anitbodies, and his system got a bit too overwhelmed after having already been sick. That's awesome. My oldest cat does not like her younger brothers, so we make sure she's the only one allowed in our bedroom, just so she has a place to relax away from them.
  3. 2007 Okay, time to fish or cut bait with this year...too many good albums to select, so have a top 25 list Abhor - In Nostrum Maleficium Kroda - Fimbulvinter (Похорон сонця) Deathevokation - The Chalice of Ages Necros Christos - Trivne Impvrity Rites Bone Awl - Meaningless Leaning Mess Mortuus - De Contemplanda Morte; De Reverencie Laboribus ac Adorationis Keen of the Crow - Hyborea Mael Mórdha - Gealtacht Mael Mórdha Demonical - Servants of the Unlight Furia - Martwa polska jesień Inquisition - Nefarious Dismal Orations Nominon - Terra Necrosis Bestial Raids - Reversed Black Trinity Månegarm - Vargstenen Avsky - Mass Destruction Kill - Inverted Funeral Arkhon Infaustus - Orthodoxyn Horna - Sotahuuto Cemetery Urn - Urn of Blood Avichi - The Divine Tragedy Helstar - Sins of the Past Nocturnal Graves - Satan's Cross Spearhead - Decrowning the Irenarch Flagellum Dei - Under the Might... 4. Can't tell you how sorry I am to hear that man, but I'm glad she's at peace. ...and yeah, man. A good vet is worth their weight in gold. The one we were using originally for my 2 boys, when they got their first rabies/whatever that other shot is they get as kittens, I thought the idiot had killed one of them. He was shivering and shaking all night, wouldn't eat anything and was barely moving. Scared the hell out of me and I've never bothered going back there again. Took them to the vet my wife's family always used after that, and they've been awesome with all of our animals so far. Totally worth the extra drive time. Young ones are absolutely the best. Everything is new and exciting for them...even when they're getting into shit they shouldn't they're hysterical to have around
  5. They're definitely symphonic...I don't think there's any question on that, but it's symphonic death metal
  6. I don't watch just music on YouTube either, but their should be a "music" tab at the top of your home page, just below the search bar, that isolates only the suggestions related to music. That's also why I said open anything new in incognito mode if it's a channel you don't know or something you don't want to add in because it will throw off their algorithm. You're right about sticking to just a few channels though because it's never going to be a perfect way to find new music, but it is a learning program meaning it's only as good as the information it gets from the user.
  7. Using YouTube to best advantage means you've got to be careful what you click on. If you just randomly click on anything that catches your eye you're going to get a ton of garbage recommendations. Keep it to stuff you know you like and channels you trust, and you'll start getting much better bands in your feed. Drautran - Throne of the Depths
  8. I'm going to be slow getting 2007 out. Have a lot going on this weekend, so not going to be able to work it out liked I'd hoped. I've got it down to about 33 albums, but I know I can cut a few these out, because my taste has changed a lot in recent years. We have a lot of overlap in the albums we like...it's really more a matter of which ones we end up thinking are best. Like, a lot of yours are usually on my consider pile, but don't always make it onto the final list for one reason or another
  9. That's why I almost always open new band links in incognito mode. If it's good, just switch back, but if it's terrible it doesn't mess up YouTube's search algorithm (which is already borked enough...Christ, I listen to one Draconian album and they've been suggesting the rest to me non-stop)
  10. I don't know about a lot of people, but we're definitely pretty amazing... ...well, I'm pretty amazing anyway
  11. Fighting with 2007 right now....Year was just loaded with good releases
  12. Figured that would be a bit too synth heavy for your tastes
  13. I think most of us understand that it's damn hard to put yourself out there...especially if you're an introvert by nature. Hell, even now, I know how much I still hate going into new situations with new people. It sounds like you're in school though, so in a lot ways that works to your advantage. You can commiserate about shitty teachers, shitty assignments, whatever...and if a conversation goes weird, hey...chances are you won't see them again next semester, so who gives a shit what they think. Cliche as it might be, that's the part to remember...it doesn't matter what others think about you. There's always new people to meet
  14. I've mentioned this before, but I've found the biggest issue with social media is its tendency to just create echo chambers. While that isn't in and of itself, terrible, I think too often it creates a distorted view of the world we live in. I mean, there's a reason the phrase "touch grass" caught on in recent years.
  15. New Ripped to Shreds Jubian https://rippedtoshredsdeathmetal.bandcamp.com/album/jubian?from=fandiscflw New Sacrilegia (The Black/Thrash band from Ireland, not Sacralegia the Death Metal band from the U.S.) Sold Under Sin https://invictusproductions666.bandcamp.com/album/sold-under-sin
  16. Yaotl Mictlan - Guerreros de la tierra de los Muertos
  17. 2006 Turned into a much bigger year than I expected, so here's another top 20 Repugnant - Epitome of Darkness Drawn and Quartered - Hail Infernal Darkness Dismember - The God That Never Was Necrophobic - Hrimthursum Negative Plane - Et in Saecula Saeculorum Bestial Holocaust - Final Extermination Lathspell - Versus Ecclesia Proclamation - Advent of the Black Omen Coffins - The Other Side of Blasphemy West Wall - Blitzkrieg Symphony #1 Horna - Ääniä yössä Incantation - Primordial Domination Azarath - Diabolic Impious Evil Yaotl Mictlan - Guerreros de la tierra de los Muertos Antaeus - Blood Libels Wolf - The Black Flame Hellish Crossfire - Slaves of the Burning Pentagram Sorcier des Glaces - Moonrise in Total Darkness Force of Darkness - Force of Darkness The Ruins of Beverast - Rain upon the Impure
  18. I generally despise Ryan Reynolds...dude plays basically one character, over and over...himself. I can't deny really liking the Deadpool films though, and he was absolutely born to play that role, but they were lucky to get that second film to turn out as well as it did. Reynolds basically had the director from the first film booted off the second because of differing ideas. Disney being absolute control freaks who continually run franchises face-first into mountains + lead actor who thinks his shit doesn't stink = disaster waiting to happen
  19. My lists aren't ordered by preference...that's just how they come up as I write things down. I don't think I could ever really rank my albums from most favorite to less favorite. I had a few more that ended up on your list in my consideration pile. Stuff like Stormcrow and Flame could have very easily made my list on any given day. Horna I like, and "Envaatnags..." is a really good album, but they have so many that are just as good, figured I'd just sideline them this time around for something else. Azaghal was another one, but I'm kind of realizing that, while they're always solid, they rarely make it up into "must listen to" territory for me. The stronger the year, they more likely they are to get bumped As for Evilfeast, he's only got the five releases, but I don't think he's ever done a bad album. They'll all most likely end up on my lists as the right year rolls around
  20. 2005 Too many good albums came out in 2005. Ended up going with my top 20 Evilfeast - Funeral Sorcery Slugathor - Circle of Death Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness Taake - Hordalands doedskvad Ondskapt - Dödens evangelium Mortem - De Natura Daemonum Tundra - Ansia Coffins - Mortuary in Darkness Baptism - Morbid Wings of Sathanas Satanic Warmaster - Carelian Satanist Madness Kroda - До небокраю життя... Mael Mórdha - Cluain Tarḃ Spearhead - Deathless Steel Command Drastus - Roars from the Old Serpent's Paradise Craft - Fuck the Universe Adorior - Author of Incest Sargeist - Disciple of the Heinous Path Heol Telwen - An Deiz Ruz Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal Macabre Omen - The Ancient Returns
  21. Sorry for the late reply... ...because those labels are run by sketchballs. So stuff on labels like Werwolf, Purity Through Fire, Drakkar, etc. which tend to sign a lot of those bands doesn't show up on Bandcamp unless the band has their own separate page They were doing that long before being purchased by Epic Games
  22. Well, it doesn't help that Bandcamp has kicked most of labels that sign a lot of Finnish black metal bands off of their website.
  23. Think I'm going to have to break my self-imposed rule of only doing ten for 2005. Just waaaay too many awesome albums released that year
