  1. Acid Force - World Targets In Medadeaths
  2. King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard - The Silver Cord
  3. Funerals I've been to were at the bakery they just go behind a curtain and the rest is unseen by anyone but bakery staff. My dad's mate used to work at one before he retired. We had a tour of the place and unless the coffin is headed out to the yard it's all handled behind curtains.
  4. It's not a job I would want. Imagine if the dear departed was of really large size and one person dropped their end. It can also look a bit weird when the bearers are different heights. I've only been to one funeral that wasn't a bakery too, but there was no coffin bearers.
  5. I realise other people have different thoughts on the idea but I've always thought of coffin carrying as the final insult. The job you give people as a final single finger salute once you can't do anything else.
  6. Well there is that. But you'd have to say he knew what pain he was going to be subjected to when he paid several thousand dollars for the ticket.
  7. Someone went overboard on Lamb Of God's metal cruise. Apparently they circled back and spent something like 9 hours looking for him but didn't find him and are returning to port. Someone reckons they saw a bloke being chased by security and he dived off the back of the boat, but that's unconfirmed. I don't think I've heard of anyone going overboard on these music cruise ships before. Hear about it occasionally on some cruise boats but this might be a first for a metal cruise.
  8. Loved the 80's output, 90's no so much, the latest is okay but not as good as Frost and Fire
  9. Venom - Live from the Hammersmith Odeon 1985
  10. He'd have been better off releasing the songs he did with Corbi. That vocalist sucks.
  11. Destructor - Blood Bone And Fire
  12. I don't think I have a guilty pleasure, well not as far as music goes, but I have been told before that what happens on the farm should stay on the farm.
  13. You can repeat it all you like but me driving my own vehicle has nothing to do with my views of public transport and doesn't see me avoiding public transport. Under the right circumstances I'll use public transport without a second thought.
  14. I don't have to explain anything. My comment was that I'm a control freak and like to drive my own destiny, specifically referring to holidays. After that you've just thrown a heap of stats around that even with the best intentions don't paint the entire picture of the public transport systems of Australia.
  15. I'm not a fan of any transport I can't control myself. But I hate being stuck in cabins, buses, trains, even cruise ships. But I'd rate cruise ships higher because they have a lot more room.
  16. I've done the Indian Specific twice, once from Radelaide in a sleeper and once from Melbourne, (Overland change over) in a seated cabin. Fucked if I'll ever go on such annoying fucking transport again. Buses and trains for me rate lower than cruise ships. At least on a cruise ship there is shitloads to do while the thing is moving and you can keep away from people. On trains the walls are thin, the corridors and skinny and people are everywhere.
  17. Aaahhh that's what I was looking for. Reasons. Ideas. Nothing is to my taste until such time as I find something that is and I hadn't found that in BAN up to now. I may still not become a fan but you've thrown up samples and ideas which I'll check out when I get some time.
  18. That's fair, they aren't my usual music I just thought I might have found something in them even if it wasn't ever going to be my favourite stuff. Maybe I haven't been in the right mood, maybe I haven't heard the right album but there's "Doc" music which I don't favour but can see some appeal, the same goes for "goat" music. But I haven't yet found that in BAN
  19. What is it that appeals to people about this band? I'm not trying to piss on anyone's parade, we like what we like. But they seem to get posted here quite a bit and I've tried quite a few times to listen to what's posted but never seem to find anything appealing that I want to hear again. Sure everyone has different tastes, blah, blah, blah, not worried about that I'm just wondering what makes this band popular enough to be posted what seems like a few times a week. Maybe it's only you that posts this band, I honestly don't check names of posts in this thread too often, but it seems to be a common band most weeks.
  20. Doro - Conqueress Forever Strong and Proud
  21. I think it's five and one to possibly come next year.
  22. Elm Street - The Great Tribualtion
