  1. I'm enjoying this. It goes onto my wish list now.
  2. ANARKHON - Obiasot Dwybat Ptnotun. Dark, dank death. Noice.
  3. DOWNFALL OF GAIA - Silhouettes of Disgust. How can you have silhouettes of disgust? You can't. The music is pretty good though. NORSE - Ascetic. Norse is noice. NOSTROMO - Bucephale. Not a new band apparently but new to me. Aggressive and noisy. Good stuff. NP - VOLKER LANKOW - The Transience Of Life. Electronic ambient wankery. Nice background sounds.
  4. Orca is baiting you GG. Go for it.
  5. That was very bad. And not metal at all really , but being from Lower Alpine Bum Fuck what would I know?
  6. I don't recognise any of these faces but the dude on the far left at least has the grace to look a little embarrassed. I am so glad I missed all this.
  7. Not offensive, but I think you had to be there
  8. Thanks, Frank. we heard you on the other thread and I'm with Orca, there's nothing to dislike here but for the music and the voice.
  9. IKARIE - Arde. A bit staid. AFSKY - Om hundrede år. That's more like it NP - EMMA RUTH RUNDLE - On Dark Horses
  10. This Aussie doesn't eat fish and hasn't a clue
  11. GOROD - Orb. I enjoyed this more than the last few of theirs, but I was unconvinced by the last track - a cover version of Strange Days by The Doors.
  12. I enjoy Sunn O)) recordings but I have no desire to see them live. To static and too loud live I should think.
  13. Mark and I will have to tag team this one too. Sunn-O))) are not Japanese. As to where to start with Boris, I think Mark has more of their albums than me so, over to him...
  14. KRALLICE - Krallice. Get this into you, poseurs.
  15. I feel the same way, but sometimes it just hits the spot.
  16. VALBORG - Romantik. Yep, it's a k GG. What a lovely, miserable album. The last track - The Haunted Womb - never fails to move me. The singer is very unhappy. 6. The Haunted Womb Ich will ewige Finsternis Und totale Zerstörung Ich will, dass sie kommen Und für immer herschen Ich will den Messias gebären Und mein Blut vergießen Vater mit unendlichen Augen Vater des Wahnsinns Tausend Münder küssen mich Frucht des Abgrunds unter dem All Schwebender Phallus der Schwärze Totale Ekstase des Ekels So soll die Welt ersticken Und lernen, dass du kommst Und wie du kommst And for the non German speakers. 6. The Haunted Womb I want eternal darkness And total destruction I want them to come And rule forever I want to give birth to the Messiah And spill my blood Father with infinite eyes Father of madness A thousand mouths kiss me Fruit of the abyss under space Floating phallus of blackness Total ecstasy of Disgust So the world should suffocate And learn that you come and how you come
  17. Shakespeare eat your heart out. All in all though, apart from gems like these I'm glad I can't understand 90% of the lyrics of songs I listen to. I must make an exception of Valborg's Romantic. The lyrics sound great in German and translated they really are joyfully grim. The album is musically the simplest of Valborg's oeuvre, but there is such a great blend of melancholy music and gleefully miserable lyrics. You gotta laugh.
  18. Surely the elegant and elegiac beauty of The Chats 'Smoko' can't be beaten. 'So it's Tuesday morning And my CentreLink hasn't come through So I pick up the phone Because I've got some abusing to do.' And the chorus 'I'm on smoko So leave me alone I'm on smoko So leave me alone...' Brings a tear to the eye.
  19. After I gave myself a comminuted fracture dislocation of my right ankle in the middle of winter - god, it was almost 18 years ago now I think about it - while home alone and had to lie on my driveway until the wife and daughter came home. I now know where my phone is at all times. It is always in my pocket if I am outside the house and usually there when I am inside. Call me paranoid, but the experience made me quite sad and I don't need hypothermia to add insult to injury if I break myself again. But that's just me, and I don't expect this anecdote will change your behaviour. What should have been a salutary experience failed to change the behaviour of my oldest friend - a friend who I can call an idiot for keeping his wallet in his back pocket and he takes no offence. He just ignores me. He was in a train in Japan, Tokyo to Kyoto with his then 14 years old daughter and the wallet came out of his pocket and was left on the seat of the train. Which he discovered only after he and the daughter had eaten lunch and he couldn't pay. Many adventures ensued. Being Japan he eventually got the wallet back with contents intact and has a great story of what he did until the wallet turned up. But he still keeps his wallet in his back pocket.
  20. The date is a term that Roy and HG (Rampaging Roy Slaven and HG Nelson) popularised or maybe even invented. As an afficionado of the strange (to outsiders)in Aussie culture you need to check out Roy and HG. Extremely dry humour. Jokes that last for hours. When too much sport is just barely enough.
  21. Yep. istening now, but I have to go out and will return to it later. Reliable band though, and I should think I will like it. NAKKIGA/ARDE - Split. I prefer Arde CARMA - Ossadas. Not bad. Almost too much synth though. FULL OF HELL & PRIMITIVE MAN - Suffocating Hallucination. Ugly stuff. I really enjoyed this.
