Shout at the Devil it is then, cheers :) The Black Sabbath album name does seem appropriate haha! Not expecting much tbh. Opeth is a band that I'll need to spend more time with, especially since they're diverse with their sound.

It's a valley of shitposts on RYM. Among them you'll find fair reviews but it takes time. Yeah I agree with you on that, sometimes a negative aspect for one person is a dream come true for me. Bit like when some people say obZen by Meshuggah is ''basic'' and not up to their previous work. I personally loved it.

Here's a list that you may find useful: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/TechnicalProgDeathThrash/the-best-and-worst-albums-of-metal-bands/1/

Shout at the devil is my favourite motley crue album although the cover I'm not a fan. It makes me cringe.

How was black Sabbath album you mentioned. Any good.

Opeth are worth a listen. There an eclectic band. I like them as they played lots of different genre of music in there career  but foundations wAS always  metal and since heritage a prog rock sound to my ear. In my mouth mind there bit unique especially the early albums which some say is there worst stuff but I rate highly.  Orchid album named as contains loads of variety of music and  there's loads of type orchid apparently

Yes bad reviews are not always bad. We're connoisseurs as we agree on that 😁

Not heard that obZen album so worth a listen. I've heard good things about that album. My best mate has been rather keen on there music for ages. I've known about there music for almost 20 years but have not really listened. Everyone has bands like that. I'm sure you got some bands in that heard of but not listened to  there music much category

Thanks for the link for rate your music   trawl through those reviews😁

  3. Crikey must have phrased it clumsily but what a discussion. I can't see issue in believing what you want as long as it's peaceful, does not affect others negatively and helps that person lead a more positive life. I  Stand by that.

I don't know about any differences in taste, I guess local ingredients could make some difference but I'm such a connoisseur I doubt I would notice :)

We have small Freddo Frogs individually wrapped, not sure about them being in bar form, but the kids do love them, we also have Caramello Koala, which seem to be a kids party staple. I've got a double size block of Cadbury Caramilk in the cupboard me hopefully not melting in the heat.

Melted choccy is the pits man. In my experience it's never the same😁

There individual shaped frog choccies here in UK too. In the UK freeddo are caramel and chocolate frog shapes. No koalas. We used to have tazmanian devil shaped ones which were cool. After a big price rise I don't get them anymore but my sister is very keen. Her nickname should be freddo or should it be freddorina 😁

I was baptised to appease my various Catholic relatives and a political "just in case" (I am Yugoslav) despite both of my parents being atheists!

I reckon people should be free to believe what they want. I'm not a fan of religious people wanting all to be like them and being pushy in pushing there view point. I also don't like non faith people wanting everyone to be like them too. My brother's friend is like that. Does my head in. I reckon Live and let live re this.

Being baptised to appease family members is bit crazy imo so yeah what a waste if it's not for you. Some people eh 😁

  6. I'm listening to alot of stuff via Bluetooth whilst driving at work. Sometimes there's 100 miles between jobs so I get to listen a fair bit 😁 having a range of metal styles helps as I get bored of one genre. Thrash, doom, black metal, funeral doom, ambient metal keep me entertained.

Also while cooking and washing up I listen to more music via Bluetooth headphones. There handy as they don't get caught on things like the wired ones used to. I'm real coordinated like 😁

I think live would be epic but maybe sat with a nice whisky and just soak it in would be for me. Not sure I would stand for that duration to see it live, not because of laziness but not an on your feet experience.

I have not heard of Slow (slows) I will check them out tonight after work. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah there called slow. I listen on bandcamp to there stuff. Hope you like it.

Bell witch live would be epic. Especially that bassy sound. When I saw doom band pallbearer live they bought an amazing amount of bass which I appreciated, they'd be like that and some I'd thoughta. I'd probably stand like a lemon 🍋 and take in the music. I can see how you would like watching them sat down with a whisky. I love whisky but oddly enough I listen to most metal music sober and enjoy it more. What a weirdo right 😁

All I ever hear is how good that Motley Crue debut is. Not actually heard it myself so I might try that one day. Virtual XI was a struggle, though it has been getting some retrospective praise recently. It's certainly different, I'll give it that!

I'm going to give Forbidden by Black Sabbath a listen. God knows how that will go. Not heard many Opeth songs, I'll find time for Heritage :)

You could visit RateYourMusic for user-made lists of bad albums but they're not very good. There's a lack of actual criticism, all you get is ''shit album lol'' which isn't helpful haha.

Well that's why the motley crue debut went gold. Not for me any way. I prefer shout at the devil. You should give it a go.

Black Sabbath is called forbidden for a reason 😁will be interested if you like it. Heritage is in my opinion a prog rock album. The deep purple, and Ian Anderson inspired tracks I liked. I'm still hearing that opeth sound there too☺️

Yeah will check out that website you mentioned. The comedy reviews don't help. Sometimes a well written bad review may get me interested especially if there negatives are positives for me. Have you found that with reviews.

It seems in many of the circles I've been in the Slayer album that cops the most flak is God Hates Us All. But I actually like that album.

I will admit that there has been times where I will talk up an album more than it deserves just because some people have to be so vocal about how bad it is. I don't do it for the band, I do it to be a shit stirrer.

God hates us all features deciple. I like that song☺️not heard the album though. I wonder why it gets so much hate. I'd have thought diabolpus in musica whatever it's called gets more thumbs down as that was where they attempted more contemporary style of music from what I've read about album

What's people's  problems with the album God hates us all album

Good one re standing up for albums more positively than they deserve. I imagine you've had such heated talk you'd could almost cook a burger on it🍔

I think Overkill's building days are over. Now that they're in their 60's and have learned how to go through the motions and churn out records in DD's home studio they're just trying to hang on and stay relevant enough to sell a few records and play a couple of gigs to keep the lights on, food on the table and gas in the Harley. I know Bobby's wife has a chocolate shop over here in Nanuet NY. Don't know how successful it is, but I guess he could always learn to be a chocolatier if the thrash band thing doesn't work out. I think I remember him saying in an interview one time that he had a side business, that he imports stuff and sells it. He didn't say what kind of stuff though so naturally the mind comes up with all kinds of interesting possibilities. Could be electronics or some kind of food or consumables or maybr sex toys, cigars, men's skin care products or beard oil...who fucking knows?

Cocaine from Columbia is what Bobby imports. He's the next Tony Montana. 😂

    nah just kidding.

Acid vat hell yeahhhhhh🤘🤘.I think its Such a good song.  Such great elocution of the words too. Can't beat some top death metal singing and music I like too.

Looked online and it would not load. Think it may have sold out. Hope your stuff gets to you soon in post.

    Billboard Top 40?

Over the years I have recollections of conversations where worst albums from bands were discussed and I was often surprised by how many of the 'worst' albums I liked, or at very least could put up with. Strangely enough I can't remember any single conversation right now but I do know they happened. I'd actually be interested to see such a website and see which albums I should be thinking of as bad :)

    Billboard top40 😁good one.

Sometimes there's some good ones in there like slayers relentless album, and some pantera albums. Think some of those went No1, though slayer got there once with about 10 sales for relentless🤣 we all know people don't buy music like they used to.

That's the billboard40 for me. Mostly Listenable but largely forgettable. I'm guessing deep purple, pink floyd would do well in billboard chart. There bands I like although rarely listen to.

Cold Lake by Celtic Frost sends a shiver down my spine. I've been listening to the so-called worst albums by popular bands (last one I did was Virtual XI by Iron Maiden) but this is too much. Glam can work, not here though.

That's good idea. Motley's crues debut I think is one terrible album to go gold sales. I don't get why people like that one and they do. The overuse of cowbell on one track is the highlight for me. 😊. Virtual XI yeah well done for giving that a go. Not heard it.

What's next on your list.  I've got suspicions that heritage by opeth is considered there worst album by metal fans yet I quite like it.

Is there a website for so called worst albums?

Mirror Reaper by Bell Witch is 1h 23min

I bought this album. Tbh without your wise words I wouldn't have. It's surprisingly good overall. I think it's not perfect album but I still don't want to switch off till it's over.Thats a good sign.  What a challenge to play live eh. 😉

Have you heard slows music. There music is similar. You may have thought what comes from Belgium apart from fancy chocolate. Good metal if I don't say so my myself😁

For us here in Oz Cadbury is pretty much the go to chocolate. Those who taste chocolate rather than just eat it probably wouldn't touch it but it's available everywhere, it's quite often sold on special at stores, and the ads are everywhere. I do know some people who will go on and on with reasons why Cadbury is terrible chocolate and claim people should only eat stuff with names that I can't pronounce but if I want chocolate I'm not worried about grabbing some Cadbury.

Good to know. I agree with you. I think it's very good quality eating chocolate. I stopped eating it as I was comparing it to fancy European stuff I'd very occasionally get when I was in Cambridge. Well fancy for my budget. It can't compete with that. Whilst I can see where the haters are coming from I think there missing the point. I think its good eating chocolate like you said.

Is UK and Aussie Cadbury similar taste. I've had UK kit kats and USA ones and the USA ones I did not like nearly as much.

In UK the freddo bars are very popular well mostly with kids which I'm guessing is same in Australia. It originated in Australia if Wikipedia isnot telling lies. And I'd thought they were a UK thing. 😁

In the UK I'd say lindt is better eating chocolate than Cadbury. then again lindt is swiss and does cost fair bit more. I get that when someone else pays 😊

Your right discounts are very handy with Cadbury. In UK theres always Cadbury stuff on offer prices.😋

  16. I've had good time at the land of chocolate. Some would question weather Cadburys world is this😁it was surprisingly good fun and I'm probably more likely to buy Cadbury more in the future.

Although I don't have high estimations of that mini eggs parrot. Thanks to him we went off the track on the rollercoaster ride😁

Well I don't equate them when it comes to musical ability, songwriting or image, that would be quite mean to Death haha. But they're in the same category for me with foundational bands I've never taken to.

Ok fair enough, there music took me a few listens to really take to it.

Was death metal named after them ? 🤔
