  1. Forteresse - Métal Noir Québécois Deiquisitor - Downfall of the Apostates
  2. Always glad to see someone interested in philosophy. I'd like to pursue this interest when I'll go to college. Do you have any favorite author/movement?
  3. Ate some spaghetti w/shrimps, it was delightful....
  4. Time to revive the thread I guess. These days I was on a Voidcraeft listening streak http://voidcraeft.bandcamp.com/ https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Voidcraeft/3540369530 This is somewhat of an enigmatic german solo black metal project which seem to follow the steps of Deathspell Omega, Portal, Nightbringer and Jute Gyte (at least, that's what i have been able to hear). Voidcraeft tend to play black metal with great emphasis on crude, dissonant riffs that enhance the hypnotic nature of their twisted melodies; lyrically they deal with issues regarding mankind, spirituality, emptiness and cosmic nihilism. It's true nowadays there is an abundance of "abstract" metal, but I found Voidcraeft manages to separate himself from the flock of Portal worships quite effectively, and his music genuinely feels comprised of a ritualistic atmosphere in the background. Some noteworthy songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZKxvkLWkNk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJ4exWMvrcs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO22EwfkK-w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuLroQIzlbI https://youtu.be/Fm--knLI6LE
  5. That Tchornobog ended up in my top 10 list of 2017. I liked how each song followed a great narrative structure and how overwhelming was the dissonant riffage
  6. I, Voidhanger is an italian label which mainly promotes (as far as I know) trippy death/black metal, like Tchornobog. That "void" thing is one of the most reccurent aesthetics I've ever seen, you are right about that. I guess this sudden burst of Lovecraftian worship exploded thanks to Portal...bands that deal with abstract/occult imaginary love to throw around words which suit their musical themes
  7. NP: Voidcraeft - Entire Discography This is definetely the discovery of the year for me. Voidcraeft is a very intriguing solo experimental black metal project from Germany which seem to follow a similar path to Jute Gyte... altough they seem to be influnced by DsO to a certain extent too (You might want to take a look at his bandcamp). @FatherAlabaster I think you could like this
  8. I think we can all agree wholeheartedly Angelcorpse has some nasty riffs though
  9. ^ It's a 7.5/10, I like those weird time signatures. Adramelch is one of the few power metal bands I really like, but they don't get much recognition outside my native country
  10. Angelcorpse - The Inexorable; each song has arguably at least 1 memorable riff, which is incredible Voidcraeft - Ἕβελ
  11. Surprisingly, the local shopkeeper was a very chill and permissive guy, which was maybe a little weird for a place entirely made of skeletal remains
  12. The ossuary was definetely the most interesting place I've visited, and the atmosphere was pretty gloomy as well. Too bad I wasn't wearing my Hellhammer shirt.
  13. Autokrator - Hammer of the Heretics
  14. The travel to Prague has been quite entertaining, and I also managed to buy this nice magnet from Sedlec's ossuary: https://imgur.com/a/hzQkY6E Other photos: https://imgur.com/a/QC2kLSy https://imgur.com/a/BOLBlne https://imgur.com/a/2RwFp4q https://imgur.com/a/Of1mOJU https://imgur.com/a/3qiZEvf https://imgur.com/a/MzNJA0H https://imgur.com/a/IeFohCa
  15. Ad Nauseam - Nihil Quam Vacuitas Ordinatum Est
  16. Tomorrow I'll travel to Prague (Czech Republic) and spend a couple of days in town, with a few friends. I remember I went with my parents several years ago, but I can barely remember how it was. I'll make sure to take some photos though, if you want to see them
  17. Nuclear Death - Bride of Insect
  18. I actually skipped Domination. It isn't my favorite but there are still a couple of good songs on it. What I truly avoided was Illvd (Marylin Manson) Divinvm Insanvs.
  19. NP: Morbid Angel's Discography (except that album, you know which one)
