    Books?

Nice thread, right on cue. I'm about to read something a little bit more difficult than my usual stuff: Simulacra and Simulations by Jean Baudrillard (Simulacra are copies that depict things that either had no original to begin with, or that no longer have an original. Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time)
  5. Best of Deathspell Omega - choice cuts - I find everything released by them to be outstanding, but here is my current top 10 list 1. Chaining the Katechon (Chaining the Katechon EP) 2. Onward Where Most With Ravin I May Meet (The Synarchy of Molten Bones) 3. Abscission (Paracletus) 4. Apokatastasis Panton (Paracletus) 5. Carnal Malefactor (Si Monumentum...) 6. A Chore for the Lost (FAS) 7. Famished for Breath (The Synarchy of Molten Bones) 8. Phosphene (Paracletus) 9. Diabolus Absconditus (EP) 10. The Crackled Book of Life (Drought) Honorable mentions include: First Prayer (SMRC), Bread of Bitterness (FAS), The Synarchy of Molten Bones (Title track) and Wings of Predation (Paracletus)
  6. Order From Chaos - Stillbirth Machine
  7. They are probably the closest thing to Deathspell Omega, but they still do not reach the same heights. That Carpe Noctem album has quite a lot of Ulcerate vibes too, it alternates between chaotic and soothing passages in the type of way only FAS - Ite maledicti can conjure
  8. Carpe Noctem - In terra profugus For fans of Svartidauði/Dissonant black metal
  9. One friend challenged me to go through the entirety of Behemoth's discography. I used to like them a lot back in the day. I still don't mind some of their tunes, but overall I find them much better than Belphegor
  10. Panegyrist - Hierurgy Voidceremony - Foul Origins of Humanity
  11. This somewhat went under my radar, thanks for reminding me.
  12. Forteresse - Crépuscule d'Octobre
  13. Elysian Blaze - Blood Geometry
  14. Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption
  15. That's unfair. I give a strong 8/10 even though I like the "Sanie Des Siecles" version more. Peste Noire is amazing.
  16. Diocletian - War of all against all
  17. Perverted Ceremony - Sabbat of Behezaël
  18. 6.5/10 pretty simple but effective. I'm just not a huge fan of pirate-themed albums and sea-shanties in general, but there is nothing wrong with this track. These guys sing in my native language, hard to believe.
  19. Best death metal album of the year so far
