I have been listening to a lot of Midian on cd in the car recently, it is such a great album. 

I never heard any Devilment demos from before Dani was involved, but I own both full lengths and really like them, especially the latest (and I guess last now that they’ve imploded) ‘Mephisto Waltzes’. 
But yeah, ‘Hammer of the Witches’ and ‘Cryptoriana’ are definitely worth checking out.

Sometimes the first couple layers are loose and the image comes into focus slowly, which is how I prefer to paint, but if I need something to be laid out really accurately (like the illustration above), I'll start with a drawing.

My son is in his first Karate class tonight. I’m very excited. I hope he loves it. And ‘gets’ it.

So do we in English, it’s called being a lunatic as in luna/moon.
Some people (who?) was thought the moon made people crazy back in the day. Because when it’s cold and when it’s dark the freezing moon can obsess people... back in the day. 
There’s also a term called “moon-calf” that isn’t used much today but was big back in the early modern period apparently. 
Also I’ve left my laptop down the coast, dang it. First world problems I guess, but still... I have to type on this damn telephone. 

Well well.. checked it out on youtube.. seems to be a solo blackmetal project.. and quite gringeworthy one too. At least the guy is really into what he is doing (and theres some nice musical stuff here and there).

Well, it´s classified as an "example why it´s a good idea to learn midi humanize and velocity tweaking", metal.. not so much.   Now, because my opening statement could be considered "harsh", some good words need to follow.
"All I know is that writing this and listening to it made me feel better."

That´s exactly what music is about! Expressing yourself, getting a mental relief and a source for enjoyment. It´s amazing that you have found a way to use your adversities to spark creativity. Just keep doing stuff, and you will constantly evolve and learn new things, therefore getting even more tools to use your creativity with.

As much as I'm not into the "wooooo, moon magic" aspect of it, I've noticed that the moon seems to have an effect on me as well - a full moon and the days around it seem to coincide with either more effortless creativity, or aimlessness and depression. It's been that way for a long time. No idea why... maybe it's just a story I tell myself when I happen to feel either creative or depressed and walk outside and see a full moon, it's not like I don't feel those things at other times. But it's my story and I'm sticking to it. ?

Yes! The Moon is such an influence on so many things in nature, it always leaves me in complete awe. Moonbathing is an interesting thing to look into if you have not heard, also you can really feel the calming effect on your mind and body. In my opinion also helps the regulation of womens cycles, so much so that I know what to expect on a full moon! although peoples opinion tends to differ on the subject, in my experience it seems to definitely have some influence.

I think i might have expressed myself bit.. unclearly now that i read it again.

(Full) moon is an absolutely stunning thing, and full of mystery that has captivated human thoughts through our entire existense. You can get seriously mesmerized by it, from its function (entire universe does that to me really) to the eerie visual treat it offers. It was just the eclipse part that was rather disappointing, i was hoping for this feeling of unease in my stomach which ie. (near) total solar eclipse will give me.. but there was none of that. 

Got a business and family to run, my own music projects and who knows what. Besides saving money atm on couple goodies i most certainly need. (E-Drumkit being one of them). ?

At least in theory it´s in the realm of possiblity for me since i am located quite close (west coast of Finland), but it´s not going to happen for various reasons. Got too much to do, more important things to spend my money on etc.

Thanks man, although while the Countess should probably be receiving help for her insatiable erotic appetite, it was Parker’s wife who is currently seeking treatment in hospital. Best wishes to @Parker. All the best mate in what must be a difficult time.
In other news I visited my parents’ place on Friday and my mother is convinced the fires are going to reach them, despite the Alfather and I telling her it’s practically impossible. There was rain while I was there too - hope it reached the fires.

I hope you find the strength you need in such a dire situation, nothing is as frustrating as a loved one who is on the path of causing harm for themselves. At least she is now safe, and the fact that you are there for her must be hugely important, there are so many people struggling same kind of issues alone. I really admire your courage for sharing such sensitive matters, and i hope the situation evolves to something much better!
