  1. A Canorous Quintet- The Only Pure Hate. I'm having real trouble finding non hard copies of this bands music. Neither ITunes or Rhapsody provides their albums for download, and I don't know why. I don't like messing with CD's since it is 2015 and all, and I'm really not willing to spend 30 dollars on a CD on Ebay. Great band and its a shame their work isn't readily available in the digital age outside of Youtube.
  2. Gates of Isthar- A Blood Red Path, The Dawn of Flames, and At Dusk and Forever. Back to Back to Back. Really Master of Puppets style Metallica trashiness mixed with Melo-death. Good not great.
  3. Sacramentum- Thy Black Destiny. I'm really starting to get into this Melodic Blackened Death Metal.
  4. The Gallery is a very good album, but it kind of loses the plot when it turns into a Rush album late. It is true that DT did over time move away from a Death Metal song and rhythm structure, but they kept producing good melodic heavy metal. Often mixing in electronica and sometimes gothic influences. It probably turns off some people, but those people were probably never into the sound that was coming out of Gothenburg at that time anyway. And as far as favorite death metal bands right now, I've been hitting that Immolation hard lately.
  5. Found out I have an inflamed Bursa like I had in my knee, but this time in my hip, which is causing a lot of pain in my butt. Gluteus Medius, Minimus, and Pirformis especially. Probably going to get a shot this week, if that doesn't work doc will have to cut it out, and release the tendon that sits on top of it. That will mean I have two more surgeries on my legs to look forward to this year. Fan-fucking tastic. How's the eyesight situation coming?
  6. Sacramentum- Far Away From the Sun.
  7. Radiohead- Let Down, Immolation- Furthest from the Truth, Metallica- Fight Fire With Fire, Mastadon- Sleeping Giant, Opeth- The Leper Affinity, Pink Floyd- Run Like Hell, Pink Floyd- A Pillow of Winds, Metallica- Orion, Necrophagist- Epitaph, Radiohead- 15 Step.
  8. I guess its like loving the poetry of Ezra Pound, or the music of Wagner even though they were anti-Semite's, with Pound being full-blooded Fascist. I really like Darkthrone, and they seem to be the only major player in the scene that didn't have a band member that murdered someone or were murdered by someone. I love listening to Burzum even though Varg Vikernes is a murderer and a white supremacist. I have Dissection on an endless loop right now on my Iphone's MP3 player, even though Jon Nodtveidt murdered a man because he was a homosexual and a foreigner. Interesting moral questions arise when you enjoy listening to this stuff..
  9. Been listening to a lot more Black stuff from the early and mid-90's. Once you get over the real unsavoriness of several of the key figures that were apart of that Norwegian scene, you can respect the musicianship underneath.
  10. Darkthrone- A Blaze in the Northern Sky
  11. Slayer- Hell Awaits. I love listening to Slayer. Every album usually clocks in at around 35 minutes. Perfect workout metal.
  12. I wouldn't say it going well. Its still a bit swollen and has quite a bit of inflammation in it. So does my hip, which actually hurts worse than my knee now. Doctor prescribed me a topical NSAID called Voltaren, which works, but only for about an hour and then the pain comes back. Its only been six and a half weeks since I was on the operating table though. Have you ever been tested for Gout? My dad had it in his knees and it would show up without warning pretty much every time.
  13. Death- Individual Thought Patterns
  14. I can run about a quarter mile now seven weeks after the knee surgery. I have to keep my knees high though, otherwise its hurts quite a bit. Start physical therapy tomorrow. Surgery on the left knee scheduled for November.
  15. Darkthrone- A Blaze in the Northern Sky Yeah I hate Spotify. Its supposed to have an algorithm that makes sure you always hear what you want to hear, but of course advert dollars will find away to get past it.
  16. I think the readership and number of posters posting is going to take a little while longer to go back to what it was before the unnecessary "upgrades" that took place recently.
  17. Dissection- Storm of the Lights Bane

I think the overwhelming preferred hair color choice amongst the male viewership has pretty much been established as fire red.
