  1. "Exalted ...." is next on my list to pick up actually - have heard it a couple of times and enjoyed it enough. I agree with your assessment of "Odori.." I think it needs your full attention otherwise you miss the whole experience. I started the Cruciamentum but was really not in the mood that day so turned it off after one track - not their fault just me being difficult. Will listen to it at some point though as it should be right up my street. Been meaning to write some reviews for the blog of late but just been too busy with work and life in general for the input. Might have to go back to my old school method of handwriting a review in my notebook and porting into onto the web later.
  2. Blut Aus Nord "Memoria Vetusta I (Fathers of the Icy Ages)"
  3. I am quoting this just for the use of the word "smorgasbord"!
  4. Deiphago "Filipino Antichrist" - I like to think I am the West Lancashire Antichrist but then again I don't possess the raw brutality of Deiphago although I am quite handy with sharp things and once ate a moth. Grave Miasma "Realm of Evoked Doom" - I don't get on with "Odori Sepulcrorum" as well as I should do, I listen to it and enjoy bits of it but don't remember much or feel any pressing need to go back to it in a hurry. "Realm.." however is a different entity, it has rarely been off my headphones all week and I get really caught up in the churn of the sound very easily. Even the rehearsal tracks are great and really flow for me. Great find. I haven't got a third, between work, sight seeing and Grave Miasma a third choice hasn't been possible.
  5. Mere and Ghouly are the only ones that stick out for me, Ghouly usually pops on my FB with the odd photo of Lego or a board game because she is Kvlt as F**k! Don't see Mere on FB but then it's Mere so she could be back tomorrow and gone again by Monday HeavyMetal Dave needs to stop developing his educational prowess and post more Saxon in the "Now Listening..." Thread EDIT Oh and I thought HellKell had real potential

  14. Done the break up thing before and it is fucking painful. My ex-wife was a fooking lunatic who caused me no end of grief but that horrible look in her eyes when I told her it was done still chills me ten years on. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  15. Add them to the list of "fallen" members from the site. Nothing to do with me.
  16. I started off quite liking it, but today I just wasn't in the mood to be honest. The sprawling structures that drew me in originally, today just bored me so I turned off after 3 songs. There's no denying the effort and creativity involved is spot on though. Record actually takes you somewhere instead of you just sitting around waiting for the obvious. Think I need more focus for it than I could allow today. Probably why I have had Deiphago on instead - suits my mood better today.
  17. Have a self-catering "executive apartment" booked for the next 4 weeks in Edinburgh whilst I work up there. Going to be a nice change actually getting a choice of food at a reasonable price each night with cooking facilities of my own as opposed to up to £25 a night on hotel restaurant food. Also my car insurance renewal came through and have managed to source cheaper insurance to the tune of £400 a year less than my renewal price and with protected no claims - BOOM! Finally getting the finances to settle down now after a hectic few months after the move so will be looking to get our European travels booked early in the new year for which ever freezing cold or politically hostile nation we decide to grace our presence with next year. Also had the awkward moment earlier when I told my gf I wouldn't be travelling to Portugal for her father's wedding. The man never bothers to even phone her or remembers her birthday but she still wants to go (which I get the whole "only get one dad" argument) but I am a man of my principals and will not be attending.
  18. Grave Miasma "Realm Of Evoked Doom" - a complete find on Bandcamp for £3.
  19. Have to say the writers on Doctor Who have upped their game remarkably for this series. 4 episodes in and I am hooked on this series with a near Tennant-esque appetite. Capaldi still struggles with the character a lot I think, he over eggs the obscure and edgy side of things yet somehow has the sense of detachment with basic human emotions represented perfectly in odd moments here and there. I do think the Clara/Doctor relationship is working better this series also, they just seem to have more appropriate dialogue and interaction than in previous outings. The re-invention of the Master as Missy is brilliant and the character is played fantastically well also I think. Underneath all that disregard for life in general is someone genuinely battling with their feelings for an old friend and fellow time lord. Great bit of casting.
  20. Shroud of The Heretic "Unorthodox Equilibrium"
  21. Criminally I have a Tanglewood upstairs that has not seen the light of day since 2013. Can't bring myself to sell it as still never learned properly and would like to.
