4. If there are any vocalists with a good range looking to join a Stoner Metal band then drop me a PM. Influences for us range from Mastodom, Melvins, Kingdom of Sorrow to Meshuggah, Pantera and Lamb Of God. London area.
5. Thanks! My girlfriend is currently out in Australia, she keeps sending me pictures of the humongous fucking spiders you guys get out there! You'll have to let us know when you're UK bound!
6. Reaper, PODXT and Drum Kit From Hell. Great for demo stuff and amateur release's. https://soundcloud.com/terranoia/terra-4-bass-2
7. Its very simple to understand Meshuggah's greatness. They managed to create music without any real melody that still has a hook. Its mechanical, relentless and in some ways utterly primitive. I love Meshuggah, I think they may be one of my favourite bands. There are a ton of sub genre labels you could plaster them with, but ultimately they are their own thing totally. A load of people try to imitate them, but they don't succeed. Demiurge, Future Breed Machine and Dances to a Discordant System are all songs I would highly recommend.
8. I'm pretty sure a fair amount of work goes into a live album. Admittedly the songs are already written but from an engineering point of view there would be cost's. As for making them lower in price, I can certainly see your point. It depends on the band and how much of a different vibe they get live. Clutch make awesome live albums and Alice In Chains Unplugged is amazing IMO.
9. Madness!!! That album was amazing IMO! I'd say Death Magnetic. A lot of people hailed it as the triumphant return of Metallica and for me it really really wasn't.
10. I reckon Byron Stroud could be a possible fill in. He's worked with a lot of awesome bands over the years. I dont think losing Adam will change the sound/style of the next record as I dont think he was a big part of the writing process.
11. I'd suggest Reaper as a DAW. Fantastic program, completely free trial (which is indefinite I think) and handles loads of VST's and plugins. I recorded everything on this track in Reaper. Track is still rough draft awaiting mix. https://soundcloud.com/terranoia/terra-4-bass-2
12. http://www.facebook.com/Hostiledawn 'Devastating hooks, crushing riffs, thunderous percussion and vocals that resonate with tortured melody all combined to give you the listener one of the filthiest experiences audibly possible' Aggressive, stoner/groove metal from London. Got a CD on the way and a few gigs in the pipeline, if you're local to London come along and get hammered with us! Here's a video to wet your appetite! yziauqP-A00 We also do a video blog to keep ourselves entertained, give that a watch if you wanna know more about the band and want to see us making tits of ourselves.
