  1. Great choice! One of my favorite metal albums ever. The title track, "Knock 'Em Dead Kid", "Looks That Kill" are all killers, although the entire album is great.
  2. Oh man that's awesome! He's always been a favorite vocalist of mine. "Under the Blade" by Twisted Sister captivated me when I first heard it. And I always take satisfaction knowing he out-classed Congress during all that mess back in the 80's when a bunch of whiny parents and politicians were making a huge fuss over rock/metal.
  3. Fantastic choice! Man I love those guys! I would say "The Call" still remains my favorite album from them, but "Hidden Evolution and the self-titled release aren't far behind. It could probably change on any given day. I have all of their albums, and I never skip a single song. Rock on!!
  4. Overkill - "Ironbound" Dee Snider - "For the Love of Metal" KK's Priest - "Sermons of the Sinner"
  5. Dee Snider - "For the Love of Metal" (album) This gentleman has returned to the metal scene with a bang in recent years. This release from 2018, along with the newest release "Leave a Scar" (2021), is just killer. Heavy riffs and some great solo work.
  6. Hate Eternal - "Fury & Flames" (album)
  7. Oh I gotcha. Ripper has always been a favorite vocalist of mine, so I'm sure that's why I'm really digging the sound. I do wish KK had stayed in JP. He and Tipton made such a dynamic guitar duo! I also really like a couple of other bands that Ripper is in - Charred Walls of the Damned and Beyond Fear. And there's another project he's part of with 3 vocalists called The Three Tremors. He's in it with Sean Peck and another singer as well. Pretty good stuff!
  8. I'm digging these new KK's Priest songs! I enjoyed the albums Ripper did with JP, and it's cool to see him working with KK again. Hope we continue getting new material from those guys!
  9. Total Annihilation - "On Chains of Doom..." (album) Killer thrash band. This is their first release, I believe. Sounds like a bit of death metal mixed in as well. Happy listening!!
  10. Great choice! I actually prefer their material from the Mark Tornillo era. The production is great. They've really been on a roll for these last 5 albums, since Mark joined the band. "Blood of the Nations" is probably the best of this era, although I really love "Stalingrad" and "The Rise of Chaos" as well as this newest release. "Blind Rage" is probably my least favorite of these recent albums, but it's still got some great tracks!
  11. Power Trip - "Nightmare Logic" (album)
  12. Plague Years - "Circle of Darkness" (album)
  13. Yep, that's so true! I was just thinking that, myself! Overkill - "From the Underground and Below" (album)
  14. Oh, I see. I didn't realize they had been talking about releasing new material for so long. And good call with "Sound of White Noise". I actually really like that album and think Bush did an excellent job with the vocals. I'm a casual Armored Saint fan, so I was curious to see how his vocals would fit the Anthrax sound. And even though that album isn't thrash, I still enjoy it. I was happy when Belladonna rejoined the band, though, as he's my favorite vocalist they've had. "We've Come for You All" was the album that seemed to get them back on track toward that classic thrash sound we all know and love!
  15. Yeah man, I can understand the frustration. Among the supposed "Big Four" of American thrash, Anthrax is the band I'm least familiar with, although I love "Fistful of Metal", "Spreading the Disease" and "Among the Living" quite a bit. If you ask me, I'd say the true "Big Four" of American thrash should be: Overkill, Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel. Not to knock those other 4 bands, but in hindsight, I'd say those 4 I just mentioned have put out more quality material over such a lengthy period of time, as a whole. Obviously, Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer have put out some killer albums, but they've all faded in one sense of the word or another as time has progressed. As if it needs to be re-stated, my favorite of all time is Overkill!
  16. Damn right! I'm enjoying "Spreading the Disease" in the meantime!
  17. Awesome choice! Such an underrated band. One of the great vocalists in metal, and they crank out great albums routinely. I felt like as soon as I began to fully appreciate the greatness of their 2019 release "The End of Chaos", they released this beauty of an album. "Blood in the Water" slays from start to finish!!
  18. Overkill - "White Devil Armory" (album)
  19. Overkill - "The Years of Decay" (album)
  20. Overkill - "The Wings of War" (album)
  21. Overkill - "The Grinding Wheel" (album)
  22. Lamb of God - "Lamb of God" (self-titled album from 2020)
  23. Overkill - "Taking Over" (album)
  24. Fleshgod Apocalypse - "Agony" (album)
