  1. I sense a pattern... NP: Bathory- "Bathory"
  2. Alright you got me. Reincarnated as a mushroom or as a cricket?
  3. Werewolf. I'd rather die from a silver bullet than a wooden stake
  4. Eric Johnson- "Ah Via Musicom" This guy is a genius
  5. Hasselhoff easily Zombie or vegetable in a hospital bed
  6. King Diamond- "Voodoo" Just came in the mail
  7. Yeah, I was conflicted about posting it in this section, but I knew there wasn't a war metal section, so I thought this was most appropriate.
  8. Volume is at max. Gain is at max. Haven't heard any complaints yet. On my way to guitar center to get a louder amp.
  9. Yeah I also wanna say that they're split up. I've only heard bits and pieces of Revenge's discography, but I'll have to check them out some more.
  10. You're welcome haha Stevie Ray Vaughn- "Texas Flood"
  11. Carach Angren- "This Is No Fairy Tale"
  12. It's summer for me, but I am also appreciating black metal. I've been listening to Carach Angren a lot today.
  13. Diocletian- "Gesundrian" Obituary- "Slowly We Rot"
  14. I came across the album "Gesundrian" by Diocletian while browsing the Season of Mist store. It's pretty powerful metal, and it describes a lot of war in its lyrics (which are written very well, in my opinion). I find it appropriate to categorize it as Battle Metal or War Metal, and I'm getting into them a lot more. Also, I decided to post this hear rather than in the album review section because I would want to give this album a few more close listens before I review it. I consider this as more of a recommendation of the band, so I hope some of you Battle Metal fans enjoy them
  15. Any fans of Bert Jansch out there? His guitar playing has amazed me ever since I first listened to him. He blends so many styles to make up such an elegant identity as a musician. If you haven't heard his music, I highly recommend that you check it out, especially if you play guitar.
  16. Yeah, Robert Johnson is awesome. He's just one of those inimitable guitar players that will never be bested.
  17. That's very interesting. I find myself turning to blues a lot too. B.B. King, Albert King, and T-Bone Walker can really help me get through a writing slump, or just give me inspiration in general.
  18. I'm in the exact same situation. My biggest sub genres are thrash metal and death metal. I can write something easily, but the hard part is being able to write a song and accept it how it is. It's like I keep coming up with better ideas, and my tastes are evolving, so whenever I write something, I find myself changing it over and over. I guess I'll get to the point where I finally know my true identity as a guitar player, but, until then, it's gonna be tough.
