Dan Tregenna's Achievements

  1. Ah fair, it's not too bad though, I mean in my current band I'm playing most of the lead guitar lines so i've got it set up to bend on all the strings that aren't E and A so the rhythm lines are tighter when i am playing them and that took me all of 20 seconds to do. Ah fair, yeah I guess it could be slightly daunting to a new player, buying a guitar with an evertune as a new player seems a massive risk financially though, how did he come to the choice to buy it? I'm liking it well enough for the most part, i'm used to playing V shaped guitars though so it's a bit awkward to sit with or having to remember to find a stand for it, the neck is comfortable, the bridge stays in tune and the sound is pretty good for what we do. Got a gig in Plymouth coming up next weekend, gonna see how it holds up as a live guitar but in general I can't fault it really.
  2. It's not too hard to adjust for bending to be honest, just gotta tighten the heads a bit. Wasn't too hard for me to put into D standard with thicker strings so perhaps the tele version is different to the one in the Washburn, i dunno.
  3. Just ordered one of these yesterday, Washburn Parallaxe PX-SOLAR16ETC. Evertune bridge, Seymour Duncan Solar HB114N/HB114B pick ups, Buzz Feitin tuning system and Grover machine heads...looking forward to seeing if it lives up to the hype.
  4. GUITARS * DBZ Venom Thoracic. * DBZ Venom Watchers. - Both are loaded with EMG 81/85, Floyd Rose Original, all Mahogany with set necks, grover tuners and 24 frets as standard - Both have 18v mod installed - Both have a Tremol-no installed in the Floyd which allows me to hardtail or free the trem by turning two thumb screws. - Got schaller strap lock ports on both and a single strap from Metal Devastation that has the locks on it that i move between guitars as needed. AMP 8U Thon rack containing (from top) * Furman PL8-CE power conditioner * A Line 6 Relay G90 wireless system * Kemper PowerRack with remote (no external pedals), mostly using SinMix profiles, specifically right now an Engl Fireball profile as that was what we used for the EP and what our other guitarist currently uses. * 3U lockable Rack drawer for all the accessories and spare stuff. ACCESSORIES * Ebow Plus * Lemmy Killmister signature guitar picks, 1.14 gauge carbon fibre picks with raised gripped edges * Dunlop 5010 pick holder for live * Ernie Ball Not Even Slinky's for strings plus a couple spare packs in the drawer. * All cables for signal are by Monster * All cables for power are Sssnake. * Stairville rack lamps and tour labels * ACS Pro 17 ear plugs That's about it I think.
  5. Forest of Shadows - Wish Awakened this dying season Such a beauty to behold Oh autumn hath arrived A tragedy painted dead Fallen am I Without thee I am lost In a region of doleful shades I am withering away I dwell in the shadows of life A dismal stage of mind I'm in pain Oh sun I hate thy beams Leave me here to sleep and dream In the midst of falling leaves In a garden of endless grief I yearn for thee my precious one Beneath the pale grey sky I dream of your embrace How I wish I had you near In this oh so dolorous life where dreams turn to dusts I have lost all my hope Of lasting pain and unpresent bliss this soul of mine How I welcome thee eternal sleep Silent advents of white death I feel so cold Silent advents of white death I feel so cold Crystallized tears falling still Oh autumn hath died Enshrouded am I in thy mist of endless gloom Enthralled am I by thy beauty How I wish How I wish... In the midst of falling snow In a garden of endless grief My forlorn soul of misery Where peace and rest can never dwell, hope never comes I see no point in going on Still I dream but now I know I dream of a lie So I close my eyes and I sigh A life of shattered dreams I can no longer bear I enter thee eternal sleep...
  6. I'm from the UK and i'd say i'm very keen on the following: Dystopian Wrath - Symphonic Blackened Death Sidious - Symphonic Blackened Death Verdelet - Orthodox Black Primitive Graven Image - Black Saor - Black with Scottish folk overtones Cnoc an Tursa - Black with Scottish folk overtones Hecate Enthroned - Symphonic Black Ethereal - Symphonic Black Vehement - Blackened Death Winterfylleth - Black with folk overtones Wodensthrone - Black with folk overtones Fen - Atmospheric Black The Infernal Sea - Black Anaal Nathrakh - Blackened DeathGrind Eastern Front - Orthodox Black Stahlsarg - Orthodox Black I'm missing one or two bands of course but it's mental seeing people suggest there's nothing to offer from the UKBM scene, it's ferociously strong right now and several of the bands are starting to venture to the mainland for festivals and tours.
  7. Well what countries do you want to play exactly? There are roughly 50 countries in Europe. One thing i'll tell you for free don't waste your time trying to book a Russian date, the fans over there do seem pretty passionate but the odds of getting a visa are slim and big and small bands alike have had shows cancelled last minute by people in the government there.
  8. My Kemper Power Rack that i use for recording, live and practice... 9. He deserved to die? Not sure i agree with that but i guess that's conjecture since there seems to be a lot of contrary opinions on the man. I disagree also they've done some great albums since he died. They're not AS good as DMDS in my opinion alone but i definitely think Ordo Ad Chao for instance was fantastic and worth them sticking it out as a band.

The link to Vidkun Quisling (the Norwegian politician who allied with the nazi party and brought Norway into the Axis forces - in name at least) was one that the media decided to run with during his trial when he was baiting the papers to write more scandalous stuff...as i recall he is a descendent from someone with the surname "Qisling" but again with no link to Vidkun Quisling. Equally as far as i'm aware Varg (much like the guys in Mayhem and Emperor who also took part) has stated he doesn't believe in burning churches anymore as the state just rebuild them out of tax money. In general he's a piece of shit and his racism isn't limited to just other races there's an interview i saw somewhere were he states people with brown hair and/or brown eyes are second class white people for instance...but that said his music's pretty good.
  11. When i'm playing bass in a band I identify myself as being a bassist When i'm playing guitar in a band I identify myself as being a guitarist If I were in two bands one as a bass player the other as a guitar player I don't know what my first instinct to answer that question would be.
  12. I play both bass and guitar (like many people) and i find i tend to identify myself by which instrument i'm prioritizing at any given time. If I'm playing bass in a band I tend to identify as a bassist, if like currently i'm a guitar player in a band i'm a guitarist. If i was playing both at the same time I'm not sure what i'd answer with.
