I like Necroticism, but after a few listens it still hasn't stuck with me the same way Symphonies did. Reading some previous comments brings to mind my thoughts on Carcass' career as a whole. They've always had dark melodic tendencies, and production/aesthetics aside I think their whole discography is really focused and similar in many ways. Maybe it's because my whole listening experience with them is retrospective (I didn't hear each album as it came out), but it actually bothers me a little bit that people describe Heartwork as this HUGE change and a COLOSSAL letdown... it sounds like a pretty natural evolution to me, although I do understand peoples' tendencies toward hyperbole! Another case of "oh well..."

blowjob for a cowboy is crap. I'm surprised you'd bother wasting money on any of their material. Demonic Christ isn't amazing. That Hammerfall album, while the first bad thing they did, is still better than their last three, sadly. I never cared for that Satyricon album either. Dismember is just awesome. That is a great Obituary album too. You need to listen to them until you see their awesome.

Just messaged a friend and the death of Prince got raised because earlier on somebody told her "Prince has died" and she genuinely said in response, "Aww, what a shame, on his Grandma's 90 birthday as well"!  Apparently the only "prince" she knows is Prince William!

Three days, so I stay untill saturday. Paradise Lost performing Gothic was a quite cool experience. Good sound and the band played really well. Definitely one of the better shows I've seen by them.
