by originality i mean songs with lyrics and riffs that make sense. songs that have some message in them. for example every iron maiden song was like an epic story.
i never said i gave a damn about what other people listened to dude. and im not asking for anybody's respect or horns up. i just said what was in my mind that's all. if you wanna call me narrow minded for it go right ahead. i really couldn't give two shits. and i don't judge music by their genres. real metal to me is any metal music that has the originality and meaning of metal irrespective of the genre. maybe you're much more experienced in this field than i am man, maybe that's why what i say might feel like ignorance to you.
i do stand by what i said. and all i said was that metal will never die. im just not interested in continuing this useless argument with you buddy. you have your views and i have mine. so let's just leave it at that
metal may never be mainstream. people are too ignorant to see the ultimate message of metal. what we consider a lifestyle, to many others its just senseless noise. we don't need all the popularity friend. think of it this way. metal is rebellion. all the oppression fuels the people to make metal. if there was no oppression, there would be no rebellion. so in a way i think it's better if metal never got popular
from what i've learned as a metalhead over the years is that no matter how many decades go by i believe and trust that metal will still be what it is and it will keep motivating and inspiring us. there may be many mainstream bands who only care about their profits. but i can assure you true metal will never die. it's immortal. it's a way of life.(this is just my opinion)
probably play my guitar, drink gallons of beer, listen to every iron maiden song, burn everything around me to ashes and maybe kill a couple of politicians
