  1. I know loads of Brits don't like the American accents' date= but I love nearly all of them... I love the deep Southern drawl! Maybe it's growing up on American films, I dunno.
My friend Matt is from Northern England, and it's hilarious to hear him try to do an American accent. Seems like generic Southern American accents are favored on British TV when they have to use a British actor to portray an American. I can only imagine how bad most of our fake British accents sound to you guys...
  2. Well' date=' at least now I know where I'm not welcome. :'([/quote'] Aww, you sound fine on the internet. Plus you said you weren't coming here anyway. And don't forget, the mellifluosity of New York City residents has achieved worldwide renown.:D
  3. Name me one American who doesn't love a bit of Bwitish elocution. Besides me.
I've got American friends who think my British friends sound pretentious and silly. I tend to agree, though I prefer Northern accents to Londonspeak. They don't help themselves by arguing over old chestnuts like the "u" in colour, either. (edit - this is not intended to apply to my dear Metal Forum friends, all of whom, I'm sure, are very well-spoken chaps who sound awesome in real life. :D) My personal contempt is extended to the annoying rich-bitch French NYU students, though. They ruined French for me.
  4. Mead is pretty tasty. Had some homemade mead at Jake Roger's birthday party a couple of months ago and it was excellent, earthy and rich, but not too sweet. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
I don't mind a small amount of residual sweetness, but I prefer it mostly dry. The better the honey, the better the mead. My dad made his first batch with some pretty amazing raw honey, still had pieces of hive as well as a bunch of pollen and royal jelly in it. It sucks how expensive it is - a really high-quality 5-gallon batch of mead can cost three to five times as much to make as a comparable beer.
  5. Grave Miasma - Odori Sepulcrorum

Drawn and Quartered - Merciless Hammer of Lucifer FatherAlabaster, RelentlessOblivion, and maybe Macabre Eternal would dig this, death metal along the lines of Immolation and Dead Congregation. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks! I checked them out a while ago but only listened to a couple of tracks. I'll give it a proper listen.
  6. A video of you lighting Relentless's farts goes viral online. Georgetown suspends you from all classes while they consider what other disciplinary action to take. There's a chance you could be expelled. Your entire future in doubt, you go off alone to wander the cornfields of Iowa. My hill.

  7. We've got some nice ones available to us. A place I go even has some on draft occasionally. They all give me a headache, though. Something about cider in particular that just doesn't work for me. Mead, on the other hand... a good mead might be the best thing ever. The nicest one I've had is still the first one that my dad made, years ago.
