  3. Re: Avenged Sevenfold Absolutely NOT an amazing band
  4. Re: Megadeth!!!!! Peace Sells... But Who's Buying (awesome album)
  5. Re: Gold Cobra Durst pretends he is black
  6. Re: Punk Interesting. Give me some band names so I can check em out.
  7. Re: Rate the song above you! 5.5/10 A little too much pop in there for my liking. Hated the singing parts.
  8. Re: DragonForce Well that's not a good way to tell if a band is good or shit live. Go see the band and then you can make a real judgement. Sometimes it doesn't matter if a band performs perfectly or not, if it's a good atmosphere and people are having a good time then that's all that really matters. Whoever stands there just thinking about if he/she hits the right notes or plays the song just like the studio version is a dick. Bang your head and have a good time. It's LIVE music, it will never sound like the recording.
  9. Re: DragonForce Are you guys serious when you say they cant play live? have you ever seen them? I have seen LOTS of bands over the years, and I can honestly say that seeing them live was probably one of the best show I have ever been to.
  10. Re: Arkona I have all their albums Their live album ''Zhizn Vo Slavu'' is an a great album. Their singer, Masha "Scream" Arhipova is an awesome female Pagan/Folk Metal singer. If you like Pagan/Folk then I recommend this band
  11. Re: Which Rock Bands Do People Like? AC/DC, Airbourne, The Answer, Black Stone Cherry, The Black Crows, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses (old), Billy Idol, Def Leppard, The Jam, Dr Feelgood, Joy Division, The Strokes, Radiohead, Oasis, Blur, Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Supergrass, Sublime, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Black Spiders... The list could go on and on and on......
  12. Re: Punk Back in the 1980's I grew up with two older teenage brothers who were punks, so I got to listen to a lot of the old school punk (the good stuff) bands like, Anti-Nowhere League, The Clash, Cockney Rejects, Sex Pistols, Sham 69, U.K. Subs. To be a punk band you need to have attitude, and modern pop punk bands don't have it. It's music that reflects a certain time in the past. The bands mentioned above reflect what life was like in Britain in the 70's and 80's, there was a lot of angry young unemployed teenagers out their who could relate to what Johnny Rotten and co were saying. In today's world most young white teenagers think they can relate to the lyrics of the Hip-Hop artists . A current punk band that I like at the moment is Lars Frederiksen And The Bastards.
  13. Re: Encyclopedia Metallum Encyclopedia Metallum is a great site, I find it very useful. Another useful site is ''Spirit of Metal''. I post on their forum sometimes, they have a bunch of very friendly guys and girls over there.
  14. Re: Anouther.. Astrosoniq (stoner rock) Beggars Ball (stoner rock) Blood Island Raiders Dopefight Groan Mustasch (probably the best stoner band, check em out) Orange Goblin (seen em live, great band) The Plight Priestess (stoner rock, check out the album Hello Master, GREAT album. I have seen these live too) Queens Of The Stone Age Robot Lords of Tokyo Scissorfight Thunderhorse VallenBrosa That's all I can think of at the moment.
  15. Re: In Flames I like In Flames. Not as much as I once did. They definitely don't belong here under Death Metal, they haven't been a Melodic Death band for years now. Now they are an out and out Metalcore band. I feel their best album is colony. I saw them live on their Soundtrack to your Escape tour supporting Motorhead. They were great live.
  16. Re: Who is the best out of the big 4 ??? Megadeth Slayer Metallica Anthrax If I was to add a 5th it would be either Exodus or Testament. I think I would go for Exodus because their last two albums were awesome thrash albums.
  17. Re: Rate the song above you! That's a bit better. I will give that a 4/10. I didn't like the vocals, but like you said, it has a good riff. What about some British Progressive/Death Metal from Brighton.
  18. Re: Bloodstock 2011 \m/ Hell yeeeaaahhh I'm going. Mostly looking forward to, Grave Digger, Rhapsody of Fire, Finntroll, Motorhead, Hammerfall, Exodus, Primordial, Skeletonwitch, Wolf, Byfrost, Arthemis, Power Quest, Wintersun, and Therion. Them bands alone are worth it. Also if you are going this year check out the new blood stage, you sometimes find little gems playing in there. Roll on August
  19. Re: Rate the song above you! 1.5/10 Man, that was even worse than the last song you posted. Let's have some British Heavy Metal in this mother fucker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kovo2nhqXww
  20. Re: Rate the song above you! 2.5/10 Oh dear, not my cup of tea. Now this next song I'm going to post is the dogs bollocks. It ticks all the right box's for me.
  21. Re: powerglove!! Their Batman cover is fucking EPIC!
  22. Re: Hi guys Because it's shite each to their own. I've tried to like it, but it's just not to my liking. Maybe I'm just an old fucker. I must admit that I kind of enjoyed Whitechapel when I saw them supporting Trivium once, maybe that was because I was drunk at the time.
  23. Re: female metal vocalist? Floor Jansen from After Forever/Revamp is probably my favourite. Other good singers are Charlotte Wessels from Delain, and Johanna DePierre from Amaran. I'm very picky when it comes to female vocals. My partner could give you a huge list as she runs the Femme Metal Festival, and Femme Metal Records. She only books/signs bands with female vocals.
