  1. Thank you very much! I was inserting the link to the video via the Link button! It's much easier with a simple copy/paste!
  2. Hello. I can't see how to integrate a YouTube video into my posts. I know how to insert an image, a clickable link but to make a YT video visible, I can't find it. Can you please help me?
  3. Les enfants de Dagon - De Profundis (2022)
  4. Force of Hell - Better be Dead (2022) Brutal Czech Thrash Metal!
  5. Les Vieilles Salopes - Aime moi tendre, aime moi vrai (2003) In English, the name of the band means Old Bitches 😁 and the album title is love me tender, love me true. It's French punk rock that I listen to very often. An Abstract Illusion - Woe (2022) Antichrist - Sinful Birth (2017)
  6. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse (1994) As the Darkness creeps over the Northern mountains of Norway and the silence reach the woods, I awake and rise... Into the night I wander, like many nights before, and like in my dreams, but centuries ago. Fear Factory - Mechanize (2010) Forbidden - Green (1997) Incantation - Diabolical Conquest (1998)
  7. Loudness - Lightning Strikes (1986)
  8. More than 10 years ago (I would say 15), I was on the French forum Violent Solution Webzine. Then I moved to Spirit of Metal and now I'm here since this summer.
  9. An Abstract Illusion - Woe (2022) Fabulous album from a Scandinavian trio skillfully mixing Black, Death and progressive. The album is sumptuous!
  10. Spiral Architect - A Sceptic's Universe (2000) Singer Øyvind Hægeland of this fabulous Scandinavian heavy prog band has reappeared last year with his new band, Terra Odium and the album Ne Plus Ultra.
  11. Syndrome - Resurrection (The Complete Collection) (2016) An excellent 80s/90s Thrash band, author of two demos compiled in this edition published in 2016. Inspired riffs, compositions full of energy as Dark Angel knew how to do, a singer with a magical and theatrical voice. What a pity that this band split up!
  12. Anata - The Infernal Dephts of Hatred (1998) Wrath - Nothing to Fear (1987)
  13. Honestly? Wrath of the Gods was just released and it's the album I've been listening to the most since. Great inspired Thrash. I love the latest Megadeth though, as well as Arsena, a US band that released an excellent second album, but Blind Illusion's I put above it without any problem.
  14. Blind Illusion - Wrath of the Gods (2022) Candlemass - Candlemass (2005) Witherscape - The Inheritance (2013)
  15. Miscreance - Convergence - 2022 Italian technical death, with a vocalist who sounds like Martin Van Drunen. A vocal doppelganger! Musically, from the very first seconds, I have the impression of hearing a riff from Atheist's Elements album, but overall, the music leans as much towards Atheist's first albums as towards Pestilence's Testimony of the Ancients and Spheres. You can hear all the bass work, the sound production is clear and clean, powerful just as it should be (we're not talking about brutal death here). Pleasant to listen to, but not very original. I still prefer to listen to the last album of the American band Xoth.
  16. Les Enfants de Dagon - Di Profundis (2022) Sigh - Shiki (2022) Blind Illusion - Wrath of the Gods (2022) Gehenna - Adimiron Black (1998)
  17. Blind Illusion - Wrath of the Gods - 2022
  18. My latest acquisition : The cover is already beautiful, sumptuous, a great achievement. I didn't know the band, I was stunned from the very first seconds: a melting pot of many things which, mixed together, give a surprising cocktail. It's very technical, these Japanese are accomplished artists behind their musical instruments. A bit of black, a bit of Voïvod, a lot of progressive metal, some choirs. This Shiki is a hell of a journey that awaits all those who will put an ear on it.
  19. That's very nice! Thanks for the discovery!
  20. Les enfants de Dagon - De Profundis - 10/04/2022 Les Enfants de Dagon (The Children of Dagon) is a french band composed of 7 musicians, mixing Black Metal, Death Metal, Symphonic Metal and classical music. De Profondis is the first album released yesterday of a trilogy based on Lovecraft's stories of course. https://sliptrickrecords.bandcamp.com/album/les-enfants-de-dagon-de-profundis
  21. There's no need to introduce the album, is there? Ride the Lightning, I discovered it in 1986, a few months before Master of Puppets was released. I was in high school. A friend of mine came up to me and handed me his headphones, saying: listen to this, you'll be amazed! I hear the introduction of Fight Fire with Fire and all of a sudden this big riff comes in before Lars' drums kick in. Indeed: I was hallucinating! So much so that today, 36 years later, I still love Thrash Metal. I haven't listened to Metallica for years (um... 1991?) but it's a style that gave me a lot of pleasure and without which I probably wouldn't listen to Metal nowadays. The musical style, AND this album. Note: the same day, I ran to my record store to get "Ride". I have the record with the green cover
  22. Arsena - Blood Rusted Mother Earth It will be two weeks tomorrow since this Thrash Metal album was released and I find it hard to listen to anything else. Even the last Megadeth. Riff rich tracks, progressive passages, a very good Thrash album like I rarely see nowadays.
  23. 3 great albums for me this morning: Arsena - Blood Rusted Mother Earth Excellent Thrash Metal album, technical, progressive and with a strong Bay Area touch. Will probably be my Thrash album of the year. It is full of details that force our attention, for our greatest pleasure. Morbid Angel - Covenant Not my favorite but one of the ones I listen to most often. Incubus - Beyond the Unknow I really like this record. Raw production, a music that sends a good dose of energy, an intriguing cover.
  24. Arsena - Blood Rusted Mother Earth - 09/09/2022 I already knew the band with their EPs but the album is here and I love it! As far as Thrash Metal is concerned, here is a serious competitor to everything that has been released in the genre this year, including the latest Megadeth that I love though.
