  1. Vio-Lence - Let the World Burn (2022)
  2. I listened to Megadeth from the first album (Killing). I didn't really like this album that I found inferior in quality with what Metallica was proposing then. Peace Sells, same thing. I listened to it but without appreciating it. So Far, there already I started to find the music more interesting. But it is really with Rust in Peace that I enjoyed listening to Megadeth. To this day, it is my favorite album. Countdown to Extinction comes second because I love it too.
  3. Vio-Lence - Eternal Nightmare (1988)
  4. Come on! I declare this day that begins for me special "Progressive Rock"! Let's go ! Spock's Beard - Beware of Darkness (1996) Ange - Caricatures (1972) Nemo - Coma (2015) Anabiose - Debout sous le ciel (2021) (Standing under the sky)
  5. As we say in France: "All tastes are in nature". In other words : each one has his own feelings. 😉 Onslaught - The Force (1986)
  6. Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World (2000) As much as I love The Politics of Ecstasy, this is my favorite Nevermore album. The richness of the arrangements, the titles, the riffs. Nevermore at the top of its art and its form on this album!
  7. Nevermore - Nevermore (1995) In the 90s, I was into extreme metal. Heavy Metal was not my thing anymore. But I discovered Nevermore with The Politics of Ecstasy and I loved how the band combined Heavy with Thrash, scattering aggressive touches in some riffs. The first album below, I discovered much later.
  8. I have a preference for the first 3 albums, especially the first one. Fury & Flames, I have a hard time appreciating it. As you say, it probably takes a lot of listening to get into it.
  9. Hate Eternal - Conquering the Throne (1999) Hate Eternal - Fury & Flames (2008)
  10. Master - Master (1990) Krisiun - Mortem Solis (2022) Possessed - Revelations of Oblivion (2019) Deicide - Serpents of the Light (1997)
  11. Death - Individual Thought Patterns (1993) Cannibal Corpse - The Wretched Spawn (2004)
  12. Incubus - Beyond the Unknown (1990) Kreator - Terrible Certainty (1987) Maligner - Attraction to Annihilation (2018) Megadeth - Rust in Peace (1990) Ripper - Experiment of Existence (2016) Ripping Corpse - Dreaming with the Dead (1991)
  13. Calhoun Conquer - Lost In Oneself (1989) Candlemass - Sweet Evil Sun - (2022)
  14. Ange - Au-Delà du Délire (beyond delusion) (1974) French progressive rock band that is 54 years old this year. My favorite band ever.
  15. Catacomb - When the Stars are Right (2023) Several bands share the name Catacomb but this is the French Death Metal band. Mezzrow - Summon the Deamons (2023) Metallica - Ron McGovney's '82 Garage 40th Anniversary Revised
  16. Nevermore, I always classified it as a Heavy/Thrash band. The Thrash energy on some of the tracks is well felt, as are the fast tempos on some tracks and the use of palm mute riffs which I feel are different from those played by classic Heavy Metal bands. It's true that Warrel Dane's vocals were not Thrashy but I always found Thrash in Nevermore, no matter what album. A band whose disappearance I regret. What does Jeff Loomis do in Arch Enemy ? Seriously? Sorry for the irrelevance!
  17. Slayer - South of Heaven (1988) NEVER forget my classics! Tankard - Chemical Invasion (1987) OverKill - Taking Over (1987)
  18. Gojira - From Mars to Sirius (2005)
  19. Forbidden - Distortion (1994) The announcement of the reformation of Forbidden (even if without Russ Anderson, too bad, respect to him!) gives me inevitably and irremediably desire to listen to an album (minimum) of this fabulous band. Let's start with Distortion, here we go! Forbidden - Twisted into Form (1990) I continue with the album that I consider their best (Forbidden Evil is not far behind). Forbidden - Forbidden Evil (1988)
  20. Crippled Black Phoenix - Banefyre (2022)
  21. Source : https://www.facebook.com/forbiddenofficial, April 19, 2023 : " *** PRESS RELEASE*** SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 19, 2023) — Bay Area metal legends FORBIDDEN are reborn! FORBIDDEN are beyond thrilled to reveal their first and only European appearance this year will be at Belgium’s Alcatraz Metal Festival in August. The band is already laying the groundwork for some very exciting news and announcements, but right now they are focusing on Alcatraz and rehearsing to give Europe the very best performance possible. FORBIDDEN's Craig Locicero talks about the band's rebirth, "First off, I did NOT see this coming. When Forbidden quietly disbanded the second time in 2012, I figured it was over. While I always apply the “never say never” mantra to my life, Russ made it clear that he was completely finished with touring. My wingman and main dude from the conception of Forbidden Evil, Russ was my mentor and the guy who bought me beer when I was 15! I couldn’t imagine Forbidden without him, so I had little hope of a future with Forbidden. Today Russ is happily retired and living the sober life. I have nothing but love for that and him. Everyone needs to respect his wishes like we do. So then ….. fast forward 11 years after our last show, Bay Area vocal talent Norman Skinner walks in to help us rehearse and sing a few thrash classics for the Bay Area Interthrashional set at Dynamo MetalFest 2022. WHAMMO! That’s when it all happened by accident. Truly. Then it happens AGAIN when Norman sings Chalice of Blood onstage alongside Warbringer at the one Bay Area show of Bay Area Interthrashional. Holy fuck! We will go into detail thoroughly in the upcoming weeks. It’s an amazing and organic progression story to tell. I now can announce that alongside my brothers Matt Camacho (bass) and Steve Smyth (guitar) we are officially introducing Norman Skinner (vocals) and Chris Kontos (drums) to the Forbidden family. As far as Kontos goes, he’s well known as one of the Bay’s very best and most respected drummers. Chris’s work in Machine Head and Attitude Adjustment alone are legendary. Historically he’s sat behind the kit in with Exodus, Death Angel, and Testament to name few. I’ve been lucky enough to play music with Chris in the past and present as well most recently with punk legends The Boneless Ones. We work amazingly well together and have remained great friends for over 30 years. In a long line of amazing drummers… Bostaph, Jacobs, Hoglan, Hernandez and Horn… Kontos is the perfect fit for Forbidden Having 5 people all moving the same direction with enthusiasm and positivity. It’s all I’ve ever wanted with Forbidden. Making the seemingly impossible, possible. This is not a reunion, it’s a rebirth." Following closely the Facebook page of Craig Lociciero (guitar), I saw him regularly talking about Kris Kontos (ex-Machine Head). Together, they've been making noise in the Bay Area recently. I had no idea that Forbidden could be revived again! For a few days, the band had created an official page on Instagram and every day, it presented as a kind of countdown by posting each letter forming the band's name: F, O, R, B, etc. So tonight (in France at least), Craig announced the rebirth of the band I've been worshipping since Forbidden Evil. Indeed, if Metallica and its Ride the Lightning got me hooked on Metal for life, if Slayer and its Hell Awaits/RIB made me love Thrash Metal, there are two bands in the style that I place on two pedestals: Forbidden and Dark Angel. What a boundless joy to see these two bands revived!!!
  22. My car was 11 years old so I might not touch much and it won't be enough to get a nicer one. That's life. Shit happens. Let's go! Let the music roll!
  23. Ancesthor - White Terror (2022)
  24. Oh, I doubt it will ever be found.
