  1. I highly recommend you check out Mechina and Becoming The Archetype.
  2. Of all the responses I could have gotten to this, this one tops any I could have expected lol.
  3. Well, here is the post that will likely get me ran out of this forum. lol. I'm a Christian. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord when I was 12 but made no real commitment until I was 23. What actually drew me in was Christian metal. Bands like The Showdown, Becoming The Archetype, Demon Hunter, etc. Christian metal played a huge role not only in my re-dedication but also in my growth. Bands that are not Christian have, at times, even played a role in that as well. Some songs, whether the band's intention or not, actually do run parallel to Christian outlook and many bands do have a positive message.
  4. Ahhh man this is a tough one... Metallica - Master of Puppets Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power Becoming The Archetype - Dichotomy Mechina - Progenitor Amon Amarth - Twilight of The Thunder God
  5. All That Remains - Victim of The New Disease (on my way to work this morning)
  6. For me it wasn't exactly a metal festival but there was heavy bands there. It was X-Fest 2002. It was the baby of a radio station that was big here in WV years ago called X-106.3. They had two stages. One for local acts and one for the bigger acts (lack of a better word.) This year they had Hatebreed on the bill. This was not only the first outdoor festival I had ever been to but Hatebreed was the first band of its kind I had ever seen live. It was intense. Extremely intense. The thing I'll never forget is the big Rob Zombie looking dude literally kicking the living crap out of this other dude. He punched him several times and got him in a headlock and threw him to the ground and as he tried to get up he kicked him right in the face. Scared me to death. I found out later it was because the one who was kicked deliberately grabbed the Rob Zombie looking dude from behind and tripped him that he fell hard on his back.
