Most kind, thanks :) ...and I would definitely like to do that!

You really should, as your style would match perfectly.  Perhaps try posting some on a Dungeon Synth forum and see if there are any takers?  Or you could always found your own project...

Oh, the version with Goldblum? Great stuff, awesome visuals for that time!

Not just for that time, but all time!  The practical effects look better than any CGI to my eyes.

Definitely understandable. She does pay for the cat though. That's part of the enjoyment for me; once she crosses those thresholds and starts "losing her soul," it's fun to watch bad things happen to her  Especially with the heightened comedic tone of the last half of the film. But again, I understand that's not everyone's flavor.

    The Fly is incredible.

That's a good point, and I am with you all the way on her deserving what she gets.  Still, it was not for me.  I do remember being really disturbed by the trailer when it came out, though!

    How come?

I am not a fan of the horror/comedy blend.  Plus, she kills a cat (if I remember correctly), so I really don't care about the character whatsoever.

In other news, I recently watched the Cronenberg version of The Fly, and was stunned by it.  Amazing film.

I watched remake version, but I'm not sure it's so great. Maybe I'm wrong, haven't seen it for a while. Also, I've seen 'The Last House on the Left', probably like six years ago. Liked it, but later I saw that it didn't have good reviews, but I know that doesn't mean anything.

Latest horrors I watched were 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', that's pretty good, 'The Mothman Prophecies', great movie. Yesterday I watched 'Uninvited', not bad at all.

I wanna check out 'Jennifer's Body' and maybe 'Drag Me To Hell'.

The Mothman Prophecies is great, but it has been years since I have last seen it.  In my opinion. though, Drag Me to Hell was terrible.

Picked up some copies of The Amityville Horror, Society, Shivers and The Last House on the Left. Been wanting to see The Serpent and the Rainbow again too, but in due time. Shivers is great; early Cronenberg. It's also known as They Came From Within. I'd recommend it to anyone, it's insane.

Which version of The Amityville Horror?  Both the original and the remake are great.

World funeral era marduk is killer, love the guitar tone on "bleached bones & bloodletting".

I always enjoyed that album, but I have not listened to it in probably over a year.  It seems that it is time I played it again!
