  1. Sounds like a lot of help. I will certainly try this out. As for the blues, I'm not a big fan really. Anything in particular you could suggest? Well I've bought the Varigrip anyways. It can't do any harm can it? Worth a try I'd say.
  2. So I play guitar. I've been at the base of a wall I have happily been sitting at for a good 3 years and I am now determined to push myself over to progress to solos, intricate leads and fast riffing. I have, as such, noticed that my ring and pinky HATE each other and it's so frustrating. I know the best cure for this is to practice practice practice and I plan to. I am basically just asking if anyone has had one of these hand exercisers (such as the Planet Waves Varigrip) before and if they work or what you personally think about them? While I'm hear, good starter solos to start with? Just some simple solos with some moderate pick and fretting work. Currently trying to force myself to learn the lead bits from Fire and The Fury by Firewind but feel this is probably too hard for me at the moment so slowly does it. Cheers.

  4. Surprised myself here in the fact I have never given this subject really though in the past. I know the body shape would be an explorer because I love that shape (I think everyone growing up as a Metallica fanboy did, right?). That said though I'm not sure which kind of explorer shape or brand I would go for. I am a massive fan of the Snakebyte Hetfield Signature series by ESP recently though. The white one make me tickle downstairs... Edit: I didn't notice how long ago the last post was. Please do not lynch me for posting in a topic that hasn't a post in 2 months! haha
  5. Haha. Don't get me wrong, I mean, I've not given them a really good chance yet but I'll be honest... That melodic bit in the middle is making me want to know how many times I can bounce up and down on Satan's big ole trampoline. It was a friend who saw them at a festival and told me about it. My immediate reacting was of course, 'What The Fuck.'

    Tattoos

No tattoos. It's not something I really considered seriously, mainly because I wouldn't know what I wanted. I am incredibly indecisive. I would never be able to set myself on something and still like it in a week or so. Hell, most nights I can't decide if I want chips or waffles. That said, I would like one. Nothing massive and out there but maybe something upper arm or forearm if I did ever go through with it. On a side note, my girlfriend has a Scorpion tattooed on her ass. Nice. And the Tattoo...
  7. Depends on my mood. It could be in my car just driving around to nowhere with the music blaring. Other times like I am right now, just sat on the sofa with my headphones in doing nothing other (really) than listening to it. Best place is at work though when the idiots I work with are being especially annoying. Headphones in. Music on. Idiots off.
  8. Evil Scarecrow. Not them as such but just their live show. 500 people doing the Can Can to the Final Countdown? WTF? It was hilarious to watch, don't get me wrong but WTF. Lawnmower Death. Not personally seen it but they have someone dressed as Satan jumping on a trampoline during a song or two or their live set? WTF! This I have to see.
  9. Firewind Machine Head Abolsva Savage Messiah Kreator
  10. I think I'd probably say St Anger. OK some of the lyrics are terrible and Purify is something I really wish I could unhear but some songs on that album are awesome. Unnamed Feeling, Frantic, Some Kind of Monster and I'm pretty fond of Dirty Window and Invisible Kid. Also Are You Dead Yet by Children of Bodom. What a great album. Everything after that is not great though.
