The band currently requires a drummer with fast double kick ability and confidence in navigating complex time signature changes. Any drummers interested in auditioning are encouraged to email [email protected] BAND BIO Infernal Outcry is a progressive death metal band based in Hobart, Tasmania. Be delighted by pounding drums, evil guitars and deathly screams til complex rhythms and sinister melodies make your ear drums bleed in a good way! In March 2013, Infernal Outcry released a demo entitled Eclipsed, and supported Thy Art Is Murder on the Hate Across Tasmania tour. More recently, the band was very well received playing a short set at Faux Mo (part of MONA FOMA), and also performed at the 2012 Falls Music & Arts Festival in Marion Bay to a very enthusiastic crowd. The band is now looking to play shows beyond its hometown and is continuing with the process of writing and recording further original material for an album release. Infernal Outcry began playing live in March 2012, and has since played with many bands including Black Majesty, Synthetic Breed, Psycroptic, Intense Hammer Rage and Mephistopheles. Infernal Outcry began playing together in late 2010. The band features Bachelor of Music graduates David Lawson and Daniel Hill on guitars, as well as Bachelor of Music graduate Leah Armand on vocals. Infernal Outcrys rhythm section features current Bachelor of Music student Paul Sharp, who also plays bass in progressive metal band Create the Crayon, and drummer William Shepherd, who has now left the band in pursuit of overseas travels.

I love it, but I also can't understand why everyone hates Swansong so much!

Having said that though, we recently had a death metal / deathcore band (Thy Art Is Murder) enter the charts for the first time ever here in Australia.

We don't have the most awesome metal scene here in Australia. It's okay, but could be better. I have heard lots of touring musicians say numerous Asian countries have a really awesome metal scene with massive audience turnouts.
