  1. Just discovered these guys a couple of months ago! Couldn't believe that it was just 3 kids (I believe they're all brothers) who were making this great music. The drummer looks like he may possibly have just finished being bottle-fed last week. Hope these guys continue on.
  2. Primal Fear - "Code Red" Primal Fear - "Nuclear Fire" Primal Fear - "Apocalypse"
  3. Primal Fear - "Metal Commando" Always a pleasure to make my way through this discography - incredibly consistent.
  4. Really enjoying that Guts album, Mr. GG! Fantastic recommendation! I saw the descriptor "groovy", and I was immediately interested. The production sounds great as well. Any new releases that you're particularly looking forward to for this new year (whether officially confirmed or just anticipated)?
  5. Primal Fear - Self-titled debut Primal Fear - "Unbreakable" Ralf always delivers the goods with the vocals!
  6. Primal Fear - "Jaws of Death" Love these dudes!
  7. HammerFall - "Legacy of Kings" My favorite album from these metal titans. Just ordered a shirt with this album cover on the front. Can't wait for its arrival!
  8. Hell's Fire - "Rest in Riffs" Crossed Fire - "Life's a Gamble" Metal Christmas, everyone!!
  9. Fantastic choice! Chastain has put out so many great albums. Leather Leone is one of my favorite metal vocalists out there. She has also released 3 albums under the name "Leather" as well, which are all pretty killer!
  10. Betzefer - "Entertain Your Force of Habit" Bullet - "Highway Pirates" Bullet - "Heading for the Top" One of my top 10 all-time favorite bands, and they might possibly be releasing their next album coming up here in 2024! Their last release "Dust to Gold" was back in 2018, and I began to worry that they may have broken up. My goodness, I hope the rumors of a new release are true!
  11. Excellent choice! Black Tongue has long been a favorite of mine. I liked their previous album a bit better, but I certainly enjoy this one from time to time as well.
  12. Overkill - "Scorched" Krokus - "Hoodoo" Animal Drive - "Bite!" Primal Fear - "Delivering the Black" HammerFall - "Crimson Thunder" It's a great day!
  13. Primal Fear - "Jaws of Death" HammerFall - "Legacy of Kings" Can't say enough about this classic-sounding heavy metal bands!
  14. Grimgod - "Beastmaster" Wildime - "Beams of Bones Walls" Some solid hard rock/groove metal here! Enjoying both releases quite a bit.
  15. Betzefer - "The Devil Went Down to the Holy Land" The more modern groove metal band that comes closest to the sound of my beloved PanterA than any other band I've discovered in recent years. Beyond Perception - "Vital Ground" Texas Hippie Coalition - "The Name Lives On"
  16. Ah yes, how could I forget "Eagleheart"?? Thank you for the reminder! Such a great band.
  17. Fantastic choice! Stratovarius is always a good call. "Forever Free" is my favorite song from them overall, but they have so many great tracks.
  18. Glad to hear it, my friend! A true blast from the past. When Fast Eddie Clarke left Motorhead and joined up with newly-ousted UFO bassist Pete Way, I'm sure there were those who were a bit skeptical - I'd love to have a time machine to see how all of that went down. But yes, the first two Fastway albums are excellent hard rock and a blast to listen to!
  19. Metal Church - "Congregation of Annihilation" Fastway - Self-titled Fastway - "All Fired Up"
  20. Superjoint Ritual - "Use Once and Destroy" Aside from the mighty PanterA, I've also never disliked anything else Phil Anselmo has been a part of. My favorite vocalist in the history of metal.
  21. Black Absinthe - "Early Signs of Denial" (EP) Pretty solid stoner rock.
  22. Mississippi Bones - "Wise Words from the Uninformed" Mississippi Bones - "Creature Features & Cult Classics" Groove-laden southern metal/stoner rock. Been listening to these guys for about 6 years now and have recently revisited these last couple of albums. Fantastic stuff!
  23. Love that Rhapsody album! "Symphony of Enchanted Lands Pt. 2" is fantastic as well. "The Frozen Tears of Angels" is a more recent favorite from them, but I've enjoyed most of their stuff. Hard to believe this year is the 25th anniversary of the release year of "Legendary Tales"! Oops, this year is the 26th anniversary of "Legendary Tales"!
  24. That album has remained in steady rotation ever since its release 7 months ago for me. Marc Lopes is one of my favorite vocalists, so that always helps!
  25. Even as a fan of some nu metal, I have to say I absolutely love that analogy to a plague and being susceptible to infection! I completely understand why that style has a bad rap. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, as we all know, though! Oh man, lots of great stuff in the hard rock you mentioned! I'm glad to see bands like Supersuckers, Nashville Pussy, Zeke, and Peter Pan Speedrock on the list, as all of those are in regular rotation in my listening time. In fact, I was just blasting Zeke while I was at the gym the other day. "Hellbender" (2018) is just ferocious. The sound is just high-octane purity. Can't go wrong with ZZ Top! "Eliminator" is a favorite album of mine in general, regardless of sub-genre. I'll be hopping back on a pretty major Motorhead kick here pretty soon. By the way, how did everything turn out with your fridge?
